      jtparent,

another maths one to check is Novel Learning Center. If the foundation is good and need help on more difficult problems, you can also try to buy books published by onsponge to let your child try. You can purchase their book on their online store.

For English, I know of an experienced former teacher but I did not try because she teaches upper primary. If you and lionheart want to check her out, let me know and I will pm the contact of the centre.

        Helping--Hand:
        Top choices:

        1) TKGS
        2) TKSS
        3) Zhong Hua
        4) Chung Cheng High Main
        5) CHIJ Katong Convent
        6) CHIJ Secondary
You may suggest some if you have. TIA!
        Hi Helping Hand,
I am formerly from CHIJ Katong Convent (pri and sec school). It is very strong in english, literature, art and drama. O level results during my time was quite good. The affliation to CJC is advantage though i did not end up in CJC due to the travelling distance. But chinese language is really not strong. Most students speak english and mandarin is hardly spoken. The strong ECA are swimming, tennis, girl guides.

But in terms of school culture, be prepared to get a culture shock. Just like i was very shock when enter HW for visit. CHIJ school need to pray 2-3 times per day, morning, during recess. There are once a month prayer session for catholic. For those who are non catholic can sit one corner of the hall. Do let me know if you have other questions to ask about the school, hope i can still help.

Personal bias only. I still like TAS for english/creative writing. Go explore their books and see if you like their style of writing. They do have strictly creative writing classes.

Then you will have to think of a 6th choice to replace CHIJ Katong Convent, if you do not want to join your sis.

For P1 kiddos, do we really have to label EVERYTHING? I :faint:
