Well thanks for your great advive too!Mdm KY
As mentioned earlier, placing RGS top choice given yr dd'S t-score is simply too risky as it will derail her chances of getting into NYGH. U may choose Cedar or DHS as third choice does'nt really matters. Her worst case scenario is NJC.
Cheers,

Yes! I'm a student from RI and it's really an amazing school! He quun:
My DS got264+2,should he apply for RI ?
Yes, why not, if RI is the school that yr ds wishes to go.
Congrats, yr ds has done well -
Edureach:
Yes, if she is thinking of appealing to NYGH, then of course have to put as the first choice.PiggyLalala
259 to get into RGS? Do yr homework! Don't assume that the cop of NYGH will always remain static. She will hve a hard time explaining why NYGH is placed as 2nd choice if she needs to appeal. -
Hi, I'm a P6 boy and my tscore is 246  . These are my school choices.
1. ACSI
2. Victoria 'O' level
3. Anderson
4. SJI
5. ???
6. ???
Please offer me guidance on my choices and also help me fill up other two choices. BTW, SAP schools are not a choice for me as my MT is not chinese(but hindi).
Thanks for your help and congratulations to all those who have done beyond expectation for thier PSLE. -
Thanks.

How is the appeal process like ?
Must wait until the S1 posting result is out ?
If my DS was previously on WL for RI thru DSA but unsuccessful, and now his T score is quite far off, is there any chance of appealing ?
Or in Case of NJC, he cleared the first round, ranked about top 4% in the Hast Test but was unsuccessful in second round ?
Or NUSH where he also cleared the first but not second round, and has an A* in both Science and Math ?
Must put these as first choice in order to appeal later even though the t score is definitely below COP ? -

RI is having a consultation session today till 5pm. You can go down and have a chat with them. Their PSLE supplementary intake (appeal phase) is open from yesterday till 22 dec. You can apply online. I was advised not to put RI as first choice (son aggregate = 254) cos their COP has been between 259-262. Better to apply to other schools first while waiting for appeal result which they will sent out before Christmas. Not putting RI as first choice will not reduce your appeal chances because the schools will not know your choices, info only privy to MOE (unless the schools you appeal to specifically ask for your choices).
Not sure about the appeal process for the other schools like NUSH. Sorry, cant help you there. -
Mdm KY:
Distinction (+3) : 80-100
What is score of each grade? 85/75/60?ctct61t:

It is not gender dependent. It is based on the type of schools you want to choose in secondary. If you want to opt for a SAP school, then you can add the points to T-score to better the score for SAP school entry.
+3 points - Distinction
+2 points - Merit
+1 point - Pass
Merit (+2) : 65-79
Pass (+1) : 50-64
Ungraded: <50[/quote]Thanks Mdm KY's sharing.
