no harm trying ACSI…it does not affect, eg SJI, whether you put SJI as 1st choice or 2nd choice…
no disrespect to ACSI, but if the COP were to drop like what happened to SJI, you stand a chance -
heard there is this unwritten rule…others can help to confirm…
if your child got 244, and ACSI COP for 2012 is 244 but he did not get in…he can still appeal to ACSI…but if he did not put ACSI as first choice in the first place, they will not consider his appeal… -
ngbrdad:
heard that if you have 255 but did not put ACSI (eg) as 1st choice, even if you manage to appeal, the priority may be given to someone who scored 244 but who have put ACSI as first choice..Generally to appeal you have to put the school as first choice.
Unless you can give them reasons like you are staying next to SJI then they may consider.
so parents should not leave out the schools that they are interested in.. -

not at all...thanks MU123,
But if i put is SJI as 1st coice would he jeopadise his chances of getting into 2nd choice school?
MOE allocate schools by putting the top psle student into his/her first-choice school, then followed by 2nd, 3rd...etc...until the last student...
if that 1st-choice sch is filled, then look at the 2nd-choice school and so on..
almost no 2 students will get same marks (difference up to quite a few decimal places)
