thats the question i wanted to ask. beside cost fee, i think the main difference is that CMA uses 4 beads and 3G uses 9?

WCW:
Probably the kids realised that there are rewards for doing homework... They get stamps on the reward cards which can be exchange for gifts...
not so sure... but i know DS loves to do his CMA h/w but usually not more than 5pages/daysunset_dae:
Is that the norm for kids attending CMA? DD used to hate dd CMA homework, everyday he will ask me today need do CMA?
But recently i notice a change, he will tell me, today i want do 2 pages of homework, tomorrow can do 5 pages, then 10 pages??? :yikes: -

I am also told by CMA that the 3G one uses more formulas to teach...

no leh, CMA told me CMA got more sets of formula. and that 3G is more easier to learn because they have only 2 or 2 sets of formula.
3G is so much cheaper. I wonder if CMA is really useful? -
I was told by 3G has fewer formula and is more suitable for school.
No sure how true… -

hmm, they din say they are better lah, just said the difference only. cz I think they are not sure about 3G also.
-
Hmmmm… So they din push u to enroll and even say other abacus is easier to learn?
-
they din push me to sign up leh…but they did mentioned that CMA at first more difficult to learn, but also that the child needs to practise a lot. they also said 3G or other abacus more easier to learn coz lesser formula.
really dunno which one to sign up leh. but CMA is more popular I guess? they have track record to prove also.
