Heard that nanhua standard has dropped .
And bpgh is a band 1 sch

I am in such a dilemma........ Ds scored 257. If add HMT he will have 259.. Torn between putting either HCI or DHS as first choice. Both schools have the same COP. Should I choose either one as the first choice and forego the other one since the COP are the same?

Go by distance fr yr place of residence, as both DHS and HCI have the same COP.
Sec 1 workload is heavy, long hrs spend in sch.
i am sure u wont wanna him to waste more than necessary time on the road.
The time saved can be put to good use , for homework, revision and rest hrs.

Also, u may like to consider whether yr son prefers a boys' sch or a co- ed sch.

Hi, i heard that the higher chinese additional points cannot be added into the T score if your score is lower than 250… is it true?

i was looking at S1 form, a bit confused on instruction re choice of 3rd language, can I put all choices from category 3 for eg. Japanese as 1st followed by German and French ? Or my 2nd and 3rd choice have to come from Category 1 and 2 ?

2. Is it compulsory to take HMT in Catholic High and NJC?

1. School Fees the same for CHS & NJC. Around S$23pm
2. CHS - not compulsory to take HCL, but it is compulsory to take HMT in NJC for years 1 & 2, and unless the child does very very poorly at the end of those 2 years and are asked to drop, they will continue to do HMT for Years 3 & 4.

Do take note that school fee is different if your child is not offered EESIS.

2. For CHS, must take HCL for sec 1 since it is a SAP school. Not too sure about sec 2.

It is compulsory to do Chinese (unless MOE-approved exemption - in which place cannot apply under S1 posting anyway, system will reject). But it is not compulsory to do HCL. As in, it doesn't mean that if it's a SAP school, it is compulsory to do HCL. My dd was from SNGS and did not do HMT. She wasn't even eligible to do HCL in secondary.

As long as your boy has taken CL, he can apply for SAP school. Doesn't need to be HCL.

What about Anderson (COP 245) and XinMin Sec (COP 238)?
