If your child is doing fine for HCL at the moment (P4), and come from Mandarin speaking family, he/she should consider continuing with it.
We do not speak Mandarin and my son is struggling as it is...so might as well drop it. Fortunately we did because normal CL at P5 is not easy either...further more, the other 3 subjects are tough.

Saw another Chinese Assessment Book by Singapore Asia Publishers Pte Ltd (SAP) ..What caught my attention is the title 习写与听写, which I am very sure my DD2 who is an \"eat potatoes\" child will need it for P1! :evil: :evil:

Yes, I am thinking whether should I get both since my DD2 is really the typical \"ang moh\" translated to Chinese type of child

Seen her handwriting for K2's work, I already :faint: and so hopefully can get her to practise during this school holidays to improve in the written Chinese character words

Thanks for highlighting this title.

The insitute has a programme under the same title as well. Interesting.

I was only focused on getting the books that I want, I did not see this at Bookfest. I shall take a look at the title when I have the time to visit Popular. Lucky I did not buy too many Chinese assessment books, so if this is good, I can still get it with my 20% Pop voucher

Writing Practice is a good way to learn CL spelling...which is why I didn't even have to consider any other title...just had to look out for P2 one and buy it. :imcool:

I have browse through the content and what interest me is that the book highlighted the vocabulary words which students might use it wrongly. eg 表达和表示. There is explanation on them so that students can take note and avoid mistakes. The title is available at bookfest but I didn't get them cos I can get them at the same price at popular store using the 20% voucher
