2010 Nan Chiau High’s COP is 234. COP for 2011 should be higher since it will become a SAP school in 2012. Nan Chiau High is a band 1 school and can be consider as the best school in Sengkang.

Closest comparison should be Maris Stellar High. Good choice for pupils living within the vicinity with T-score of 235-240.

Nan Chiau High School standard is actually not bad at all.

Especially if your child is paying attention during Chinese lessons, even though they are a little boring, however, it is a 100% benefit towards your examinations. The paper standard is higher than O'level standard. And if compared the school's paper and other schools, this school standard is much higher.
The Discipline in the school is quite high i should say, as every morning, there will be a attire check on the way back to class. Nonetheless, the standard is still not very good as the students will tend to edit their uniform again once they are back in class.
Overall up till now, i grade this school a 8.7/10 🙂

Hi. I am also considering Nan Chiau vs Nan Hua. Nan Hua is definitely better than Nan Chiau now, as NH has been a SAP school for many years already, and their COP is almost 10 points higher. But NCHS has potential. I attended the open house at NCHS today. From the students and the talks, can really see NH is better - more polished presentation, more confident students that speaks well.

A big consideration for me is also the distance. High chance we will go for NCHS because it is nearer. Another big plus is they will also start the enhanced arts programme.
