Yes, checked with the school and was advised to put in appeal straightaway while putting SJI as first choice. -

All GEPpers and those with at least 250 will be put into the pre-IP classes. SJI has 1 class of Josephian Talent Programme. I think this will be the Pre-IP class next year.ngbrdad:
60 of the next intake for 2012 will be eligible for IP when they are in Sec 3 is it ?
From what I understood, 60 includes the students from other sec schools as well. My guess is that SJI would reserve atleast 35-40 places for its own 'O' level track students. -

my son will be with sji next yr and we r staying at clementi west.hv called the sch bus operator and he asked me to see him at canteen during orientation.there r quite a number of buses from clementi and also 151 from kent ridge bus interchange.if shifted to bishan we can take circle line. -

Actually from Clementi, maybe a good idea to use circle line till botanic garden (it's really fast, provided it doesn't break down) to botanic garden and take a bus. -
I wonder whether the school bus can pick up students from Botanic Garden MRT station? That will be a good alternative instead of having the kids change another bus from the MRT station to reach the school.

Btw, the school bus is only one-way. Your son will still need to make his way home by public transport.

Going home is fine cos there is no time constraint and some days they will stay back for CCA so will not be able to take the school bus anyway. It is the morning part that is very important to ensure that they get to school in the shortest possible time (equals more sleep time
) and public bus timings can be quite unreliable. -
