Advice for schools in Bedok & Tampines

Hi,

Need some advice on secondary school choices.
My son scored 206 and his choices are:-
1.bedok south
2.tampines sec
3. Damai
4.east view
5 ping Yi
6. Springfield

Maybe bedok green

He loves science.
All advice are welcome!! Thanks in advance.

Bedok Green COP is higher than Pingyi, East view & Springfield.

Any comments on the students from these schools? (our choices 1-7)
We know there will be mischievous children in all types of schools even branded ones. Just wanna reduce the exposure!!

Currently, as observed from the Sec 3 subjects combinations, Damai focus on Pure Biology. It seems for 2012, there is one triple science class, and the 2nd best class study Pure Chem + Pure Phy or Pure Bio.

Bedok Green, on the other hand, only has 2 Pure Sciences for the best class.

You may want to check with these schools how many students can do Pure Sciences in Sec 3, before deciding which schools to choose. However do note if there is a change in Principal, then the policy may change.

Personally, I would recommend Bedok Green as my nephew study there before. But considering your child likes Science, I think Damai is a better choice. Not sure about the rest, but I think most school will allows its better students to do either 2 Pure Sciences or 3 Pure Sciences.

We have discussed and decided on the following:-
1. Bedok South (COP 211, so we are trying our luck)
2. Damai (this is the realistic choice thus #2)
3. Tampines
4. Bedok Green (this is the position we could talked him into’)
5. Ping Yi
6. Springfield

Damai is good. My son is there. Discipline is very good, and the teachers go extra mile for the kids.
