i think we will need to verify the child’s data, the child’s class and who is the form teacher. Will also get the booklist. School bus vendor will be there and may school uniform vendor. that’s my guess. heehee!

It is going to be exciting for parents whose first child is finally going into primary one. Have a good one dear parents !!

Good Morning parents... so did u attend the orientation last friday? Did i see u last friday, hehe.... How do u think of the orientation? Which class is your kiddo from? IMO, overall it was ok, only that the Principal was abit too long winded?? :siam:
-
Hey! I was there too. It was ok. Pretty similar to the orientiation in terms of the culture items. Principal emphasize a lot on holistic education. Do you know if they do emphasize on academic? I hope they do.

My DD will be in class 1D next year and my DS will be in P3 next year. The school indeed focus a lot on holistic and train the kids to be all rounder rather than solely on academic.
Any DD or DS in 1D next year?
-
yes. my DS is in 1D next year!
Hope that the form teacher is good. Didn't get to see her on the orientation day. -
Ya! Hope the teacher is good

How’s your DS in P3? Is he in any CCA? Did you let him go for the CCA when he is in P1 or P2? Mine is kind of interested in violin. Don’t know if i can cope with the logistic of bringing him to and back in the morning.
Does P1 has lessons in the morning?
One of my colleague her son is in QiHua, he has higher level chinese lesson in the morning. -
The school is not within walking distance to my house and also I was working full time during his first two years so I am not able to bring him to and fro.
There’s no morning lesson for P1 and P2 during my DS time. -

CCA usually starts for P3 kids. However I do see special cases (in other school) where P1 and P2 kids are admitted earlier if the instructor, teacher-in-charge and parents have no objection to the idea. If your son has prior experience with the violin, you can talk to the teacher-in-charge. If he has no prior experience, I still see a possible chance, kids learn faster when they are younger, it's just that they might not sit still that's all about it.How's your DS in P3?
