      Hi Kaylasmummy

I have PM you, can you take a look? I went to get the books, pe n uniform on the 1st day, so all were available.

Are the girls band in P1 in IJ ? I worry that my girl is unable to cope with Chinese.
No worries...P1 girls will be assessed every 10 weeks in May/Aug/Oct. After May test results, the girls are classed according to their strength/weaker groups. My daughter is in a smaller group for her Chinese.

Saw parents loading trolleys of it in popular. Seems like the norm. Also common for k2 to do p2 sometimes p3 work too. Scary!

I bought only one optional title for Eng since there isn't any textbook...but hardly touched it...don't know if it's bcos I have no time or bcos title is not that useful. Prefer to use my son's Teachers Production guide instead.

As for K2 doing P3 work, that's a little absurd in my opinion. I would prefer to build my daughter's foundation for her P1 rather than moving on too fast. P1 Math is on 0-100. P2 Math is to 1000. Strengthen foundation especially number bonds, phonics, hanyu pinyin first at K2/P1.

I totally agree with u Janet. Of late, I went to friend’s house and on their study table at p2 and p3 assessment books. Kid is 6 this year.

I find the optional references so so only. I didn’t buy too.
Trying to get her to read as much as possible. I think once she has the love for reading, it’s half the battle won.

            Hi Janet_lee88

Are you a parent volunteer in IJ too? Can you share your experiences?
I understand that current P is new, any feedback so far?

Nope, I am not a parent volunteer at IJ...was a former student.

You are definitely right about this...once child can read, there is no issue with grammar, vocab and maths.

                    Hi gksmummy

How do we know if our girls are elected to be in the ballet class?
My girl has taken ballet before, so can we not buy the leotard and shoes?

Hi. I have a number of used pinafortes (sizes 26 to 24), blouses (sizes 4 to 7), PE shirts and PE shorts to give away. Please contact me for collection. Or please suggest a place for me to give away. I contacted the school, but it does not want. I suppose some low income families may want them, but have no idea how to reach out.
