2011 PSLE Centralised Posting Vacancies
-
Hi,
Anyone have the following information :
1. Available vacancies for SEC 1 posting by school ? I went to NanHua, there have 11 classes open next yr, which mean 440 I assume. I think Anglican is 10 classes,… Just wonder anyone have a tabulated list.
2. With this yr cohort of 45261 and let say T-score of 230, that will place you in what top X% of the cohort?
3. With VS and Cedar offered 90+90 places for IP program this year, is it reasonable to assume that some of the non-IP school, such as Anderson, Catholic High, Anglican… will have the COP to be lower.?
4. My son have T-score of 242+1, which is 4 points away from Catholic High ( last yr 247), what will be the chances for appeal ? anyone done Appeal before in Catholic High ? What are they looking at ? -
I know top 10% is 250 and above.

You may also wish to consider that some places are already taken during DSA.

appeal works for max 2 point. more than that they won’t consider unless CCA ability is there.

Saw this thread 1 month late.
CHS heard this year is 248.
General (not all), most affiliate schools will take in their own students from Pri if they reach the minimum marks (which is usually slightly lower than normal cut off points).
Generally (not all too), most student with higher T-Score who went into affiliated school from other Pri Sch takes time to adjust. Some recover and some don’t.
And anyway, T-Score doesn’t matter much when already in Sec 1, some lower T-Score student did better, especially the boys.
