oh yes, I was in the school too today, spend $150. The lady was quite nice, she told me what are the stuff I can don't buy. She even told me secondary school books will cost $200 to$300 in the future. When I heard that, my jaw dropped
I saw the piles of assessment books and test papers parents were buying for each subject for their children at Popular and they definitely cost more than the textbooks. Let's not forget the tuition these kids get too :yikes:
2.

Btw, the teachers told me that the # we got on Sat may not mean our dds' final sitting position. My dd's registration # is 29 too.

mommyto3js:
My DD is in Responsibility class 😄 What is your DD's class registration number? My DD is number 29, siting right at the back.
Hi,

Yes, a child's registration number does not determine the child's sitting arrangement. When sch re-opens, the classroom will be re-arranged in groups, rather than in rows, so the kids will sit in groups of 5.

However, a child's registration number will follow the child through the year. Do ensure your child remember this number as she'll be required to write this number after her name on all worksheets in the future.

Tutee, what are the stuff we can don't buy? I wouldn't want to buy anything extra if its not required.

Can you view the link, I took a pic of the item I bought, best if you can go to the school, you can view all the items you buy, on the spot you can reject whatever you doesnt require.

I'm going to bring my kids to get the uniform this sat. Why so expensive $95. can tell me the breakdown cost, still need to get black shoes and school bag.
Guess I'm going to be the finance minister for my family very soon. Have to do yearly budgeting.

:?: Hi any mummy can help?

I ordered my girl's P2 books online through the pacific website and the books are delivered to me this evening. When I opened the book and double check ( after the courier man left), i realized that all the items published by MCS are not in my big box at all. I have indicated I want these items and already paid for but i did not receive them just now.

The items are :

P2 MCS Thematic Booklets(10 Booklets)
P2 MCS Listening comprehension booklet ( 1 booket)
P2 MCS Handwritting Booklet ( 1 booklet)
and
P2 MCS LIP Booklet ( 1 booklet)

The credit note that was passed to me by the courier man only indicate that the social study student folio and the pupil helpmate will be claimable at the bookshop when school re-opens but nothing was mentioned about the booklets.

Anyone has any idea is the suppose to be correct? Thanks a lot! :rahrah: :thankyou:

Hi
If it is the same situation as for P1, we pay first and the school would hand it out during class.

Hopefully it goes this way as my girl did not join MCS on the very furst day of her P1 at MCS.She joined MCS only in March and I bought all her books ( plus all the MCS booklets) when I made the transfer.

:thankyou:
