:?: Hi any mummy can help?

I ordered my girl's P2 books online through the pacific website and the books are delivered to me this evening. When I opened the book and double check ( after the courier man left), i realized that all the items published by MCS are not in my big box at all. I have indicated I want these items and already paid for but i did not receive them just now.

The items are :

P2 MCS Thematic Booklets(10 Booklets)
P2 MCS Listening comprehension booklet ( 1 booket)
P2 MCS Handwritting Booklet ( 1 booklet)
and
P2 MCS LIP Booklet ( 1 booklet)

The credit note that was passed to me by the courier man only indicate that the social study student folio and the pupil helpmate will be claimable at the
bookshop when school re-opens but nothing was mentioned about the booklets.

Anyone has any idea is the suppose to be correct? Thanks a lot! :rahrah:
:thankyou:

Hi miffymiffy,

Check the booklist for items marked * which means they are only available in 2012. You will need to pay for them now though..

oh yes, I was in the school too today, spend $150. The lady was quite nice, she told me what are the stuff I can don't buy. She even told me secondary school books will cost $200 to$300 in the future. When I heard that, my jaw dropped

I saw the piles of assessment books and test papers parents were buying for each subject for their children at Popular and they definitely cost more than the textbooks. Let's not forget the tuition these kids get too :yikes:
I'm going to bring my kids to get the uniform this sat. Why so expensive $95. can tell me the breakdown cost, still need to get black shoes and school bag.
Guess I'm going to be the finance minister for my family very soon. Have to do yearly budgeting.
hahah... welcome to finance minister clun tutee..

Name tag - $4
School jacket - $25

Total is $ 103 ( actual amt spent)

Is it necessary to get the school jacket for the P1 as they are in the afternoon session?

Tinkerbelle,

http://www.goodlightscraps.com/content/congrats/congrats_12.gif\">. Bet your DD must be over the moon.

The Lion Children's Bible

Anyone purchase this from Bookshop ... pls advise if this is the hardcover or soft cover version. TIA

School Uniform

My damage for the uniform is S$97.50; not including the Jacket. Got 3 x Pinafore, 2 x PE Tee/Shorts, 2 sets of name tags & 3 pairs of socks. DDโ€™s pinafore is 3 fingers above the knees; wanted to take longer but top too loose for her. End up took size 28 and Auntie said will help to tighten the top. Hopefully she don't outgrown the pinafore too soon.

mommy to 3js, the aunty also gave my dd size 28 pinafore to try. She said it was too big for her and that size 26 would be fine. But I insisted on sticking to 26 as I didnโ€™t want her to outgrow it before the year was up. So the uniform shop would tuck in the armhole for me. Size 28 is a few fingers below the knee.

I didnโ€™t buy the jacket, so my damage for the uniforms is $74.

Same here... aunty kept insisting size 28 is too big for my DD. Though size 26 fits right but it's TOO SHORT... DD was wearing her CC's uniform & I could see her shorts.

Hi cantbearit2,

Tks....DD did better than expected and will be able to go to her dream sch, RGS :rahrah:

Generally, this yr's P6 cohort has done well with more quality passes, despite the slightly lower than national average % for Chinese.

MCS 2011 PSLE pass rate is 99% with 77.1% qualifying for the Express stream.
Top score is 265 and there are about 12-15 students who scored more than 260. I forgot to count exactly how many as I was too overwhelmed by the whole event....keke. ๐Ÿ˜‰
:congrats: Wow, yur DD did u proud. :rahrah: :rahrah:

IM pretty impressed wif MCS improvement tis yr. Kudos to e hard work of teachers & principals. Of course we muz give credit to e students' commitment as well as parents involvement (take u for eg. ๐Ÿ˜„ )

U muz b pretty excited as yur DD is progressing to secondary sch. Somemore a v gd one. ๐Ÿ˜‰
