Stamford Primary

Stamford ends 30 minutes later twice a week from 2012. This to accommodate two 20-minute recesses each day.


The first recess is for pupils to eat, the second is for them to relax and play.

The location of Stamford Primary is pretty good. At Victoria Lane, near Bugis MRT station.

I was from Stamford Girls' too! Was there anyone there who was not taught by Mrs De Silva?

I love the old school building. Really misses the times

Of course I was taught by Mrs De Silva. Do you remember Mrs Chow, Ms CK Tan etc?

Me, 6 Lotus but one yr your junior. Cannot believe that I can still find so many ex girls here .

All the names of the teachers ring a bell. My Chinese teacher was Mrs Goh? And of cos taught by Mrs Then and Mrs De silva. I just walked into the Waterloo campus a few months ago. I can still remember where my pri 1 classroom was. Was pointing out to DH where the canteen used to be....

I only have the information that was presentation at the orientation earlier this month.

Unfortunately, no. My children did not go to this primary school. Cannot offer much info. Was from the girls' school then. But later, stamford girls' school and Waterloo pri school (happen to be next to each other) merged and became the current Stamford pri school.

Thanks for the reply, Lizawa. It’s unfortunate that since this group was set up, no parent is able to offer current information about Stamford Primary.


I have been trying to do my bit from the information I got at the orientation, but it’s not much and all theory.

Would be good to have some practical, real-life sharings.

and now wondering if i should send my son there… according to my wife, the school now is not even in the top 100… abit worried but its the nearest to my parents’ place and they would be the ones to take care of the boys when we work…

my daughter goes to Stamford now. She’s in Primary 1. Their principal, Mr. Robin Ong, seems to be very on the ball and hands on.


we will soon be having the one on one with the teachers this April to talk about the child’s performance and the parents concerns.

i have made a lot of requests for assistance at the school and they have been very helpful and responsive.

A big big hello, I found this thread while trying to google for more information on Stamford Primary School

I am currently involved with the Stamford's Parent Support Group, which is newly established late last year. I would love to invite all the parents whom child/children is(are) with the school right now to join us whenever you are free. We call ourselves parents@stamford. Please kindly message me or leave me your contact so that I can follow up from here

My son is currently in P2 and I would try my beest to answer any queries.

We are currently working on some projects eg. Traffic Wardens and Canteen Audit and some on-going events/project to assist the teachers in running some programmes for all the student in school.
