The GE Branch tries its best to accommodate but if the school you wanted is over-subscribed it's a bit difficult for them to fit your son in. Which school did you apply for and which one were you given? My DS din get his choice...
we put in one choice only...Since he din get his choice, moe send him to a sch near our place.
He is so so sad
We've faxed the appeal form to GEP branch, what's the possibility of success????? :xedfingers: -

you can still appeal and also approach school directly. PM me which school I tell you how to go about it. If other than NY chances is very high, if it is NY still possible if you know how

Yes, my DS.

Time to get busy shopping for next year's stuff.[/quote]
Thanks, Flowermonaster!
Thanks Just888, glad that your DS will be there.
Shalomger, thanks to you too.
Saw your earlier post re concerns abt schoolbus. You can call ACS schoolbus company and there is a lady to answer your questions. I did that before making decisions on choice of school. She can advise you on pick up time and bus fare etc. Unfortunately i misplaced slip of paper with the number. I think you can call ACS general office for the number. Cheers ! -
Hi all new GEP parents! Hope you'll enjoy your new GEP journey. Enjoyed reading the pages here to know what's happening. I also noticed some gossips.
Heh heh, just managed to read some interesting posts, the anguish of parenthood in times of tests. I hope your GEP experience is fun and enriching.
I have had some really nice experiences with ACS GEP teachers and those are some of the best primary school teachers I have met (particularly 2 of the GEP HOD). Wishing you guys the best. -
Thanks OrangeJuice. A helpful parent on the ACSP passed me the number.
My dad is so excited because barker was his campus when he was in ACS. Lol. We prob will do one way trip for the morning and have him head home on his own in the afternoon.
:lovesite: Hope that no matter which schools our kids go to we can all keep in touch. -

Don't despair! Am sure everything will work out for the best. -
Finally find the letter in my mailbox! But it is quite simple. Anyone knows if there will be another letter from the posting school? When will there be an orientation for parents?
And according to Nanhua brochure, it shows the date for selling GEP books is Nov21 -30th, which ends already. Can we still buy the books in the following days? -

I believed the school will send you information soon. The dates you saw should be for current GEP students in NH not new recruit. Yeah, you should be able to buy once you got the booklist. Finally find the letter in my mailbox! But it is quite simple. Anyone knows if there will be another letter from the posting school? No worries, I called the bookshop lady, she said go on days where all level books are sold. Otherwise, you can find the books at popular, except the report book, school files & school diary. Finally find the letter in my mailbox! But it is quite simple.
