quote=\"crystalbelle\"]Hi KS parent,

          I only start now to give my DS practice writing as all along i thought the MCPS ( CC) will do that ( cause i pay $1200 every mth, i am frequest traveller )... but now i realise that most CC emphasis on the kids emotional and social skills and not on these aspect... So will transfer him to kindergarten next year and then give him more enrichment class... lots of catch up to do lor...
Dun worry, still got 1 more year before p1... Which enrichment classes r u looking for?
I am looking at the Leaps N Bounds enrichment class.
          1. K1/K2 phonics ( as he is very weak )
          2. P1 preparatory class
          3. Speech & dramma
My DD classmate attend their English course in Ayer Raja CC if I am not wrong. Her feedback is not very positive as she say her child still can't read very well after 1 yr ( maybe they fr china n they dun speak English at home)
Can consider Learning Point located at either Thomson Plaza or Simei. Their phonics programme not bad. But cost is a little high as well, $350 per term.

                    $350 is a little steep but will go this weekend to check it out.
                    Thanks a lot KS parent. :thankyou:

                        Hi CrystalBelle, Reiner,

                        There is assessment for kids, mainly is to know how familiar are they in pronouncing the alphabets and letters writing. For this, in N2 we already teach DS writing and he perform well in it and join in lesson 8 or 10 onwards for 1st term.

                        As for homework, every week they will have 2 to 3 worksheets of homework. Now heading into K2 next year, there will be spelling for them as well.

                        Agape CC is also introducing spelling and "ting xie" to their K2 classes as well. So next week, I am commencing spelling for my DS. Probably 2 words per week, starting with either fruits names or words often used by them. Preparing them mentally ahead works for my DS.
