One more here, my DS1 will have his PSLE in 2013, some more, DS2 P3 in 2013, double pressure - PSLE + GEP. Sigh......

PlsDon't sweat over gep. If have good, don't have is still ok.

I didn't sign my dd up for GEP when she was in P3. reason : I honestly don't think she'll make it into GEP anyway. Not that I doubt her ability, but I know her too well.

        Agreed.
GEP is never something to sweat over.
If you are gifted you are gifted.
If you get it thru the drilling , tuition, practices etc, you will REALLY SUFFER in GEP.

Hi, my DD will be taking PSLE in 2013. I also think it’s the right time to start preparation in P5. Even during school holiday like now, she is also doing some maths problem sum for 2 hours every a.m. Then she can play like mad in the p.m. Orelse, she will even call to say that she feel bored with nothing to do.

Oh, and I also make her read science at leisure now. And just give her past year papers on MCQ only. And those error, I will repeat the same question in the next next paper.

For CL, she will read aloud to me every evening. Usually I read to her 1st lah. So my preparation for now is such. Guess there is not too much pressure. It’s school holiday afterall.

English? nothing for now. During school time, I do make her do 1 comprehension & 1 written expression every week.
