Lol!! I guess my boy will be learning the anthem this school hols w much enthusiasm from my dad. πŸ˜„

It is good to hear that ACSP is less stressful an environment which is what we felt was good for our boy. It will be a good fit.

He was previously from Kheng Cheng Primary which was selected because it is just a 5min walk from our place and had the right culture for him vs Pei Chun Public (more Cheena). It isn't a \"branded\" school but had a v nurturing stable of teachers. He was part of the school's elite chess team which was also a reason why we chose the school. It promotes chess (a passion of his and a game he picked up on his own at age 5 by reading a book about it) and chess is one of the school's niche cca. Lastly we selected it believing that the big fish and small pond effect would give him some confidence earlier on and that if he gets to a better school through GEP or PSLE, we would support his leap to a bigger pond. His three years has been relaxing but he found it lacked the challenge that he sought after. So hopefully the GEP will expose him to fresh and interesting challenges that will develop him mentally, grow his curiosity to learn and push boundaries, and through ACSP, develop his character as he journeys with Christ.

When the time comes I prob will have to ask u about the IP. Neither my hubby nor I know much about this route. πŸ™‚ For now, we shall take it one step at a time, trusting the LORD to send us timely Angels such as yourself to give us a clue. πŸ˜„

Your son sounds like he's a very bright boy. Good for him! ACSP also has a very strong Chess team and I'm sure he'll fit in perfectly.

It's my pleasure to help. I just feel it's my duty to do that for fellow ACSians.

Have a good holiday before it all starts again!

      God Bless!

Thanks Clayman! The sch holiday feels like it is passing by a little too quickly. Lol πŸ™‚

        Hi shalomger,
Just carrying over from the GEP thread. Don't worry about the orientation. The GEP teachers and HODs will usually have a briefing for the P4 GEP parents in mid-January. The boys themselves will have their own orientation when term starts. Hope this helps. πŸ˜„

I would get at least 3 shirts and 3 pairs of shorts. Don't buy the PE tank top yet until your boy has been assigned his house. I don't know if the school bookshop still sells the tank top. You can check with them. No need to get PE shorts. I would also advise you to get your uniforms early from Bibi & Baba as they would need time to get the name tags done. They also provide the sewing service for the name tags. There's no corporate wear and any colour jackets/windbreakers are ok. Also, ACSP requires students from P4 onwards to wear all white shoes with laces. No velcro and fancy sports shoes.

My DS is moving over to ACSP at at the start of P4 next year. Can I ask what is the regulation regards school socks? Mainly over colour and type. Bibi and Baba does not sell the socks, so do we have to buy any specific school socks? Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hi happy to see the ACPS thread active!

My son is entering P1 next year, he is very happy about starting primary school, although the main reason is he is excited over having money to buy food & drinks from the canteen on his own in pri sch! Hopefully he would not be scared off by the long queues during recess time though.

His cousins were also from AcPS but unfortunately cant show him around as they have migrated to Australia last year.

The class list doesn’t seem to be out yet so bag tags, name labels and any form of labeling have not been done yet for me. In fact we hv only bought the uniforms, books & bag. Good luck for us next year!
