GEP 2011 - Screening & Selection

Has anyone received any letter from the respective GEP schools that your DS/DD gotten in ? So far, I didn't received any, so I am wondering what's next, except that we are to report to school on 3rd Jan with the report card. My DS current school insists that we give them the original MOE letter to be kept by them before they release my DS's report card. Is that so ? I tot the letter was addressed to us, parents ?

Yup, we received the letter from the GEP sch including the class for next year, booklist, transport form etc. Thought it was mentioned in the letter the kid current sch will be informed of the transfer, hence we do not need to do anything except getting the stuffs ready for our kiddos next year schooling plus bring the report book on 1st day of sch. Ur DS current sch was not informed yet? Maybe u can call GE branch to enquire?

Another thing, we just went to Nan Hua to buy all the stationery and books this Saturday. Found that could also buy school uniform in school, no need go to Tiong Bahru Plaza. Just that day they ran out of stock of PE shirts, maybe go and buy on another day.

I got my DS's report book the day after we got the letter from MOE about his posting. I called his school who already received word about the transfer. I then had to collect the report book & sign a form at his former school which they photocopied and gave me the original to present to ACS on the first day of school with his report book.

Ya, we went to tiong bahri yesterday, they ran out of stock for PE T shirt, only available after Christmas. So probably have to go again. :frustrated:

Did you receive any letter from NH regarding orientation ? Are we supposed to go on 3rd Jan with the kid ?

NYPS has briefing on 30 Dec at 9am - 11am. Classes will be assigned. Parents & students (in school uniform) to attend.

Oh, that's nice, at least you know what to expect. No letter from NH so far .....

Just re-read the notice. ONLY GEP & META students need attend. Parents not necessary. Sorry for error above. :oops:

Agreed, it's also his 1st day at the student care in NH too.

ACS also didn’t write to us about next year or organize an orientation before school reopens. Am sure they will prefects or teachers to help thr new students on the first day.


I went down to the school to buy school stationery today. Bought the School
Uniform at Bibi Baba yesterday. Couldn’t buy PE singlet as we have no idea which house he is in. Lol. My Dad tagged along on both occasions and was prob as excited as his grandson. Hehe.
