Depends on what you want to do there. With kids, we stayed at Nusa Dua for the convenient kids club while if it is hubby and I, we prefer Ubud, quiet and romantic. We don't like Kuta which is always so full of people. Personally feel that it is only good for people who likes to party.Hi,

when visiting Monkey Garden or something about monkeys, keep all belongings in the bag, zip the bag, carry tightly. Donโt put sunglasses on the head or camera hanging loosely. The monkeys are trained to โsnatchโ things from tourists. You have to give money to the owner for retrieving back.
visiting temples, avoid wearing bermudas or short for men and women.
walking along the streets, they have incense on the floor. Refrain children to talk about these practises or religions loudly in the public. In other words donโt talk, complain or commenting too much.
everything must bargain even though in the boutique or big shops. Donโt know why things look so nice in the shop but when bring back to Singapore, things not anymore nice, worst after washing, worst after wearing. Not sure whether to believe in โblackโ magic did exist. -

i saw an article about Monkey pull down the top of a Taiwan model...quite embarassing...most likely will skip this place.
And planning for dolphin watching and glass bottom boat, sunset dinner, tanah lot temple....where else? Please suggest
I watched a Taiwan program last week. They managed to bargain a souvenir at Ubud from 1.2M to 40k :yikes: -
Bargain 90%, even fruits, beach activities, beach services like plaiting the hair, massage, etc
dolphin watching, glass bottom boat are located south of bali. Depends on where are you staying. the journey from hotel to that particular spot is about 2-3 hrs. Those also can bargain. Elephant ride also can bargain. Yr mental calculations must be good.
let say for elephant ride, I ask how much per person. They will quote something example SIN$50 for 60 mins ride. I will bargain 4 persons for SIN$50. Slowly increase till you think it is reasonable lah. Pity the elephants too. I usually use the quantity to bargain. -

any hotel recommendation? difficult to find triple sharing as my sis need a double bed + 1 single bed to joint as sleep with 2 little kids. :scratchhead:
:thankyou: -
When it comes to activities, we enjoy the white water rafting. Suitable for kids from 8 years old or so. My boys loved it! We did lots of watersports too. My kids had so much fun that they felt that the 4 days we had there last year was too short!
