How often do you change the dish sponges?

Any idea how to get rid of bacteria on the sponges? Keep having stomach flu, not sure related to the dish sponges? :frustrated:

Someone told me to put the sponge in a bowl with water, and heat it up in the microwave oven for 1 min.

So it’s recommended to use the microwave oven, but only on damp sponges right? I m also prone to stomach flu very often, same for my kids… But haven’t tried using putting it in the microwave oven before

What about the dish washing liquids that has anti-microbial or anti-microcidal action? Have you tried? I am using this type of dish washing, looks fine so far. Touch wood. 😄
