very curious... does anyone know how the houses are allocated ?

if I'm not wrong, it's probably based on part of or the whole NRIC.

I don't think so....cos I got different houses in primary and secondary school. Maybe they tikam tikam....keke!!

think from 68 onwards, the BC # and the NRIC is the same.

before that, we had diff BC and NRIC #. If u had also gone to ACJC, u prob kept to the same house as sec sch since it was based on NRIC.

coz I had the same house throughout...

But my brother changed house in sec...
his house stayed the same when he went to JC...

hi, it is true that from p4 onwards, the school shoe cannot have velco?

              Yes. No velcro shoes.

              thanks for the info....

Praise God,,,, he still have one year to practise tying shoe laces....tying shoe laces in the rush wee morning is very stressful.

I just bought ours from Popular, quite a bit cheaper with Popular membership. πŸ™‚ Thanks Clayman for the tip.

Got the exercise books and school stationery seperately when
we recced the school the other day.

Received a letter from the school today with DS's class and instructions for the first day of school. πŸ™‚

                      Hi Hi,

Son will be joining the ACSP family in 2012. I'm so thankful for this thread and all the parents who have been replying. Really helpful to newbies like us.

I have a question about reporting time. The letter we received indicated that we need to be in school by 7.25am.

May I know if this is the normal time the pupils need to arrive in school? If not, what time must pupils reached school?

I ask because the school bus said the picking up time is 6.05am! (:O) Which to me, is way too early if the reporting time is 7.25am. As such, I'm considering alternative way to go to school.

And to those who have issues about shoes with laces

DS's ex school has to wear shoes with laces since the first day of pr school life in P1. So if the little P1 boys can do it, I'm sure all the P4 boys can finally manage πŸ™‚ It's really a great fine motor skill to master. πŸ˜‰ Boys' fine motorskill is generally not as strong, likewise for my son. I was worried initially too, but took time during the holiday to teach him before he started school in P1.

2 more weeks to try πŸ˜‰ HAVE FUN!!

                      shalomger:
Hi all! DS has been posted to ACSP πŸ™‚ Just wanna find out how we can go about arranging for transport? What are the school bus fees like? Also, is it convenient and safe to get to the Sch via Newton MRT/ bus? DS is joining ACSP in P4. πŸ™‚ I am an only child but my Dad was from ACS so he is v happy. Lol. He has been singing the school son around DS a lot. Keke.
Hi shalomger, which class will your ds be in? Mine will be 4I.

I'm wondering when will we know the house. Can't buy PE attire cos don't know the house. Somehow feels something incomplete 😞
