Life after 2011 PSLE

Been to Titianic exhibition at art n science museum. Wld like to share that itβs really interesting. There are displays of real items found on Titanic - not just the parts of the ship - but the personal items of the fateful passengers - shoes, combs, toothbrush, cracked mirrors, shoes, wallet and cash (notes and coins). Even personal letters. Saw the first class, 2nd class and 3rd class cabins.
My ds immersed himself in reading the stories they put up on the walls. These are personal accounts of some of the 700 plus survivors and also stories of how they family members were separated. And the actual account of how the ship sank. I read of one mother whose toddler was ripped of her ams and thrown into a lifeboat and the mother was forced into another boat. I can imagine the anxiety the mother must have felt and the toddler too.
Ds commented it was sad to read of couples where the wifeβs name is found on the survivor list but the husbandβs name is one of the dead ones. (Women and children were evacuated before the men). We also read of how a man was kidnapped before boarding (hence was saved from the tragedy) while his friend went onboard died.
Upon entrance, we were each given a boarding pass with the name of the actual passenger printed on it. Inside the exhibition, we get to find out whether ours survived or died.
Thing I like most : the part of the exhibition with the glass flooring, beneath which are broken plates and parts of the wreckage embedded in the sand - makes u feel like u r there at the scenen.
Thing I dislike : I find the lighting too dim - very depressing - even the music is sad too. I guess it kind of bring out the embience of the fateful day.
ok, I shall say no more - go and grab tickets to visit the Titanic now! -

For each school, total cohort 450 divide by 13 classes...
Snow Crystal, about how many students are there in a class in RGS and NYGH?
The fees are much higher than non IP but class sizes are similar!
I heard that boys IP has lower number per class  -

That means about 34 to 35 girls per class.
Ah, well...
Look at the bright side...
At least it is slightly better than Pri; got about 40 to 42 per class. -

The exhibition sounds really interesting. My kids want to go and experience for themselves after I shared with them with you've written.
So we'll be planning a trip to the museum next week.
Btw, were you one of the \"survivors\"?
