that's quite true, castle! my ds2 also used to b very picky. hates barley, hates horlicks all these hot beverages but after a while in cc, he started to tolerate it and drink a little. now, he is ok. but he much prefers cold drinks still.
no worry.... :hugs: ds also picky on food...but surprised, he eat all food the CC/BASC provided. Even for the past, he dun like to drink milo. But after send him to basc, just 2 weeks....he started drink milo every nightCastle House:
This will be the first time he is attending full day school... 1/2 day at BASC.. then SV...
Another thing both hb and I confirm.. he will surely slim down.. as he si quite picky and choosy on food.. so think he will have a hard time.. eating the caterer food provided by the BASC.. :gloomy:

for veggies also. he has only a few that he likes initially. still remember 1st week of sch in K1, the tr told me he didn't eat most of his lunches, i was so worried and concerned. but after some time, with a lot of encouragement (from me and trs) and looking at his peers, he also started eating other veggies.
at home, i tried to introduce those veg that the CC gives regularly too. i didn't use to cook cabbage at home but CC likes to give cabbage so i tried to give him at home too. he slowly got used.

let's see, this should be in 2006 or 2007.
:faint: now still have this kind of thing meh?kabalevsky:
aiyoh, i have to prep myself for that day. had someone i know personally who went for NS and got tekan then died. It was really really scary and shocking to read the reports in the papers then. how the \"torturing\" took place.
as a parent, how not to have such images run through the mind when your own son is enlisting? even if you know that such things happen rarely?
i dun dare to think of it now.
i think there was a major review of the \"tekan\" sessions after that incident.
so far, i haven't heard of such deaths. but other deaths have occured, mostly suddenly while running or doing the IPPT.
which is also scary cos those guys are reportedly all very healthy and fit normally. -
