May i know if the uniform colour code will remain the same throughout or change yearly? as i want to get extra sets of uniform. Thanks in advance

you mean the house colour? I think it should be the same throughout their Pri school days. But you consider to only get what's required becos the material dries fast, and also I understand that they do work on improving the uniform (eg by means of material used).

thanks hquek for the info. The uniform materials are good and compare to other school, we already save cost without having to get separate sets for PE. 😄

me too (love the uniform), but I understand that for strenous exercise, there were some feedback about how absorbent the uniform is. DS don’t have that problem (probably becos he dun exercise much).

As for wallet, usually this is kept INSIDE the bag and taken out only during recess. So no issue what to do with it during PE lesson - belief is that it should be inside bag.

When doing pv, i notice this. If students need to go other classroom, eg. chinese calligraphy class on the 4th level. The teacher in charge will ask the class monitor (holding the classroom door key in a key tag on his neck) to lock the door. This will ensure the school bag and valuables kept properly inside the empty classroom.

In P1, do the school use the money in Edusave for excursion or enrichment progs? If yes, do parents need to sign consent form for each prog each time it’s being used? TIA.

I only signed once at beginning of year. Believe that was for consent to tap into the edusave funds or something. Since then, I don't have to sign anymore.

                        hi fel2729,

P1 no exams, but they will have ongoing assessments (show & tell, written work etc). sometime during the year you may receive a piece of paper to inform parents what is being assessed. from time to time, the child will undergo tests - but I did not receive any prior notification. To me that’s good becos it doesn’t stress me and it’ll show if my kid knows what’s going on.

During half year and year end, you will also get report books on their results - and there are actually marks inside. Year end, if your child is amongst the top, he/she will know by way of cert presentation; else you have no clue becos they don’t indicate the position in class/standard.

P1 follow on to P2 - same class, same teachers.

For P2, largely the same EXCEPT P2 kids will undergo SA2 and that will form the major component on which class the child gets streamed into.
