\"Unless\" is like \"if\". It's used when stating a condition. Try using sentences that he can relate to. E.g. \"Unless Janet's DS finishes his homework, he will not get to watch TV.\"
HI Mdm Koh,
Thanks, I will bear that in mind. Will attempt a comprehension cloze myself and then teach him to find clues. Appreciate your advice.
Tearing my hair out over his inability to handle S&T 'unless' despite having done so many exercises :frustrated:

Oh, will comments on ksp have such an effect?foresee another title increase in sales
I've to emphasize that the series is good for students who like pictures because of the illustrations. For students who like to read, however, they will be quite happy working on the other assessments books, like those from the Conquer series or books by EPH.

I see that you have not been to the HappyCall pan, breadmaker, honey, etc threads
In this case, the added motivation to buy will be that, it's on a school's booklist  -
Parents,
Do not just follow blindly and buy whatever books we've put up here. Do look through the contents inside the books and see whether which are the ones suitable for your kids. As had mentioned before, every kid is different with different learning style too. If not, will end up :moneyflies: and you'll have headache getting which book to use. Kids saw this mountain of assessment books will have phobia too. This applies to me too. -

I agree with the mummies here…don’t take all the recommendations as ‘must-buy’…what is useful for one child may not be the same for another…for eg, my child may be weak in cloze, so I have to get a foundation kind of cloze assessment. Your child could be strong in this area, so you can buy a challenging title.
Kids will get frightened off when he/she see a mountain of assessment. -

Hi
Happy New Year.
I am about to order some books from popular Online. Before I do, can anyone please tell me how many questions in the Genna Meethon Mastering Comprehension Books, P3, P4, P5, P6 - especially for MCQ sections. Is it 5 questions, or 10, etc.
A prompt answer would be much appreciated. :xedfingers: -

I got this book called \"subject-verb agreement\" by Rosalind Fergusson which is rather good in my point of view. It covers basic rules which my DS finds it useful.Anyone knows what are the grammer rules?I heard from my friend that there's such rule.Any english teacher here, can help?
