Aiyah! Misplaced can buy from school immediately. Bibi and Baba probably looked at you and figured you were the kiasu hippo so must make more money out of you. :rotflmao:

the book list says tie, but Bibi Baba said no need to get, refused to sell it to me last year ... say year 1 will get one free during investiture, and the senior will teach them how to tie it

book shop does not open so early for the late comers ..... so it will be too late if discovered lost / forget on the day it is needed

Okay vlim. I know what you can do with the extra tie. You rent it out to the boys who forget their ties during assembly. Better than renting from the prefects and getting booked right? Cheap cheap. $1 per rental. Soon you'll recoup your purchase price.

        AnotherKiasu:
DS got Victoria IP. Score 257.

Put RI as first choice, obviously knowing chances are less, but being Kiasu.
Put NJC as 2nd choice and VS IP as 3rd choice.

Appealed to RI and NJC. RI chances are very very slim. NJC may have some hope.

Tmr we are reporting to VS. Not sure whether to buy books, uniform etc. If we dont buy tmr, will the school open on other days to buy or they juz point to vendors? Confused.

        Any KP experts can advise?

        TIA
the bookshop should be opened till end of the year for purchases.

ACSI have reporting session for affiliated students this afternoon.

So tomorrow will be mainly the non affiliated kids and should be less crowded.

Hi, my DD got 249+3 and missed RV by 2marks. We are planning to appeal in, what are the chances of getting in through appeal? I have a child in RV and live near the school. Thanks! 🙂

Hi the chances of the appeal are quite high but you must take a test i know of one girl who got 238 and appealed to rv and got in! And dun worry of being put in the worst class rv doesnt do it that way
they put pupils in random classes that way the pupils can get over it and move on! The Teachers also won look at you based on the score.

Do Let me know if ur dd gets in , im going in too via dsa !
Becuz i m quite lonely seeing that no one in my school got to rv!
HOPE Your dd gets in ! kudos! :boogie: :imcool:

Hi, just came back from ACS(I) reporting

Tscore 255 will be posted to IP program. Below 255 will be posted O level. No appeal allow.

Informaiton for those who report tomorrow. In summary, the reporting process is very fast and smooth. Quite impressive.

1)\tNo speech or talk. Just given a starter kid. The admin told us that everything you need to know is inside the kid. E.g. orientation program, school fee, Giro Form, text book list etc…

2)\tBring your PSLE EESIS form. They need it to calculate the school fee.

3)\tBring money or chq for Text book. No Nets or Credit Card

4)\tYou need to select to take or not to take HMT if you are offer

5)\tPlease high light to them if you are GEP students. According to the admin, they will place all the GEP students into the same class. There are about 2 -3 classes of GEP students for year 1 IP program

6)\tThose who drive need to pay $10 for the decal.

7)\tNo need to buy tie or badge. Unless you need extra. It will be given during the orientation

8)\tRegister for school bus if necessary. Bus school fee not know yet until they sort out the route

                    9) Can buy uniform, PE t-shirt, coperate shirt, Lab coat on the spot.

Total spend about $350 for everything.(exclude those reference books recommended by the book shop and school uniform)

                    Good luck
                    Cheers

Quite surprise that DHS COP is 256.

I have 2 friends DS/DD, 254+2 and 255+2 did not get into DHS. Also another friends DS 257+1 did not get into HCI

Is those COP given by MOE does not include HCL points?

DS got into SJI with a Tscore of 246. He missed ACSI and Victoria(his first and second choice) by just one point. After much thought we have decided not to appeal to either of the schools even though we prefer them to SJI. Just want to have a closure to this PSLE and move on... Hope DS works hard and excels in SJI. From now on he will be very much on his own. I've decided to take a back stage(no more close involvement in his studies) and let him take responsibilty for his studies on his own. Wishing all 2012 Sec1 kids a very beautiful Secondary school life!

Well said. I am sure with the right attitude, he can excel in any school. I am doing the same as you, i.e. take a back stage and observe my ds.

I fully agree on no more close involvement in kids' studies, we should let them handle their studies independently, let them remember test dates, CCA dates, project dates themselves instead of us having to remind them. If we don't let go of our grasp now, then when? (but of course, when it comes to discipline, behaviour and friends, we have to keep a close eye on).
