Can anyone share if it is non negotiable to take a uniform grp. I thot it is very taxing to take some sports eg golf plus a uniform cca? This can drain the time left for academic.

I asked a teacher that question and he said that if you dsa'd in via sports, there is a possibility of exemption, coz training for those would of course take up a lot more time, esp those that are playing at the national level. -

Hi my DS didn't DSA for ACSI.ngbrdad:
The sms received indicate that DS will be going to ACSI express and reporting 8.30am tomorrow.
Thought they will only know if it's IP or express tomorrow ?
How come there are people with 259 and only posted to ACSI express as indicated in the sms received this morning ? Someone posted that on the PSLE 2011 thread.
Do they just indicated everyone as express ?
I thot your ds got in under dsa? And wasn't your ds from nh? How come you reported today? Or maybe I remembered wrongly. :scratchhead:
My ds will be reporting tmr.
Yes he is from NH and will be reporting tomorrow with DW.
Only students from affiliated schools reported today.
Have some friends reported with their kids today.
Blurdad put up quite good info on the PSLE 2011 thread.
Seems like need at least 350 cash (excluding uniform) as they don't accept nets or credit card. -
Is there any subsidies for the school fees?

Tssss....But my son didn't get in thru dsa sports... Certainly hope they can review the uniform cca for those who select sports as other cca. :siao:zannelee:

I believe 196 goes to Dover Road; it also passes through part of Marine Parade. I took it once, but the route might have changed… however, I had a look at the SBS Transit site and it seems to confirm that you can still take 196.
-
OIC. Are there any private buses to school coming through Marine Parade ? 196 will take a long time I suppose.

I think uniform groups is good. Prepares the boys for the drill if NS. Just my opinion. -
In the Ong Teck Chin era, it was compulsory for every student to be a member of a uniformed group, at least nominally. But one of the the KPIs for UGs is attendance. Big oops. So those with a heavy sports load are exempted.
