When will we know our houses??? And how are we given a house? Sorry, just curious... Thanks

When you know your class you should find out. Houses are allocated by rotational basis. Some houses get 2 classes on one year, the next year they get 3 and so on. And for your former year 1 class won't be the same house, like eg this year 1 class is waddle, the next year it might be tarbet.

I can list out this year's year 1 classes' houses if you want.

... jtoh: nope I am not. I take bio, chem, geography and literature, and is in a Raffles Academies (advanced class) for geography... thinking about applying for humanities programme but not confident about my literature.

How's RA Geog? Tough? Did you go on the recent UK trip?

RA Geog is good, challenges you, but tiring also. I like my class, but can get competitive...yes UK trip was good! how did you know about it?

Are the Geog trips a yearly or bi-yearly event? How is RA Geog tiring?

How is RA Geog tiring?[/quote]so your DD is in RGS? in which year? and yes we had good fun šŸ™‚ If you're a geog student, you get more chances to go abroad, and if I am not wrong it should be a yearly basis. heard they are going to organize a geog trip to shanghai for Upper Sec next year, but not confirmed yet.

RA Geog, being a RA means more work, more independent learning...teachers don't spoonfeed you with all the notes, and how to excel. So it's tiring because it's a commitment all year round But it's a good experience, especially for one with interest in the subject. šŸ™‚

So how was Registration Day? šŸ™‚

The parents were kinda done by 10am.
The girls were taken away by student leaders to the classrooms for briefing. Officially ended at 11am.

Nothing much really, except that the P speaks very well.
Used a lot of bombastic words too, like \"laissez faire\".
She looks so well-groomed, compared to her deputies.
Her speech was also peppered with lots of light moments.

This year's batch has to buy own socks and tie. No freebies, except a file, unlike previous batches.

Thought the culottes look ugly, but surprisingly, the student leaders looked so smart in their culottes, long-sleeved blouses and vests. šŸ˜‚
