I’ve registered my son for K1 in yr 2010 at Blk 428. I visited the school 1 Sat. Though w/o air cond, I find the place quite windy. Not too sure abt the curriculum though. I just need to find 1 that is convenient for me. I’m actually waiting for the Blk 375 which I was told that it’s going to be ready by Dec. I would preferred that as it’s nearer to my daughter’s student care.
No +ve or -ve fdbk heard abt blk 428 yet except that the admin person like not too friendly. My personal opinion though. -

Thanks for your reply. I visited the one @ Blk 428 too, as I have an urgent need to send my 18mth old son to childcare very soon coz my babysitter is reluctant to send him to the daily playgroup. Observed the environment to be bright and airy which is good ventilation. The chinese teacher (a middle-aged petite lady) was friendly and welcomed questions. Subsequently, she 'handed' me over to the principal (a younger lady wearing spectacles who spoke in a low-toned voice) to answer more of my queries. I told her actually my 1st choice would be Blk 375 coz nearer my place. Taking into consideration my son is still very young, she felt that it would be better that I put him in Blk 375 so that I don't have to switch my son from one branch to the other as adaptability may be an issue. I was told that Blk 375 should be ready in Jan 2010. I have filled up a form to reserve a place for my son @ Blk 375. Perhaps you can also reserve a place for your son at this branch?
Not sure if I'm making a right choice to put my 18mth old son (a first-timer in childcare) in a new branch?..... -

Thanks for your suggestion. I’ve filled up the pre-reg form & a lady by the name of Gan Ping contacted me & told me that the centre @ Blk 375 would b ready by Dec. As I need 1 quite urgently for my son in Dec, I’ve agreed for Blk 428 1st. Hopefully blk 375’s branch will b more confirm by Nov. I will b around the place this Sat, maybe I will take a look at the construction.
The branch may be new but the teachers may b experienced teachers from other branches as well. Nearer to your resident would be more convenient. As least, if you are not well, u still can send the kid to the child care & u can rest at home. Rather than travel a distance to the child care & back home again. -

I totally agree with you re. distance. If I can't make it back in time to fetch my son by 7pm, I can also asked my in-laws to fetch coz they're staying at Ave 5.
I was at Blk 375 the other evening. They walled up more than half of the void deck of the blk for constructing the centre. Hence, very likely its floor area will be bigger than Blk 428's.
Btw, which avenue are you staying at? I'm at Ave 2.

Blk 375’s setting should b bigger as they hv student care as well. Too bad I’ve committed the student care at clementi CC, else they would hv met my requiremtn, student care + Child care for both my kids. Anyway, I quite like the student care in clement cc.

My First Skool Blk 375 is having an open hse + registration nxt Sat.
Did u receive any email from them? There will b 2 sessions:
1) 230 to 315pm
2) 330 to 430pm
I will most like be going for the 1st session as I’m sending my daughter for a class in Clementi CC at 230pm. -

Brought my boy to the open house last saturday and he enjoyed the environment and toys! haha…
I have put down his name with the centre and indicated ‘very interested and confirmed’. Hope they will contact me soon for the earliest intake. -
i registered my son in the bedok centre... he was there since he was 3... just to share....
i like the teachers there as most of them are friendly and homely... i felt safe to place my son there... my son used to be very malay speaking but after he joined the school... he improved alot that amazed me and my hubby... i really want to thank the educators there... a few days back was my son's graduation day.... he had alot of fun...
oh... i read some comments above saying abt outdoor play.... well... in bedok centre...they have outdoor everyday for about 45min except wen it rains....
yup... just some sharing with you all....
