HI, my son registered RI, they will have a camp. A question: will they wash their dirty clothes everyday? Or they will keep the dirty clothes of those days in the bag until coming back home for washing.

Don't think they will be washing their clothes. They are required to bring enough clothes for 3 days. Also, they are not told to bring washing powder. They also need to bring plastic bags to store their dirty clothes.

Keep the dirty clothes for three days, what's the teribble smell? :rotflmao:
Throw away those primary uniforms - I understand now why RI asks to bring the primary school PE clothes for the camp.
:rotflmao: I think my ds will smell worse than his soiled clothes when I pick him up on Fri.

DS counted today the no of names on ACSI list on eligibility for HMT is 240.

So does that means 240 kids have a t score of more than 250 ?

Haha, I also have the same problem. I intend to let my ds bring 1 set of primary school and 2 sets of RI PE attire. He will be wearing 1 set so need to bring 1 more set. Maybe just any white T-shirt will do or can bring the black Team Raffles polo.

Keep those dirty clothes for three days. The old primary school clothes maybe throw away later, but RI new PE attire has to be kept.

Ya true, but cannot help it lah. I only got one set of pri school PE attire. The new RI T-shirt gets worn out very quickly on washing just like the JC students'. The quality is not too good. The previous T shirt is better.

No, HMT is offered to the top 1/3 cohort or something like that

HMT is offered to the top 10% of the cohort as well as the top 11-30% of the cohort who got at least a Merit in HMT or an A* in MT. Hope that helped šŸ˜„ !
Got DSA offer from another school. PSLE scored 269 (+3). Applied to RI sup intake and waiting for result. Reported to the DSA school today but dnt know whether need to buy the DSA school's uniform/books as still waiting for RI result. Any advice?

Maybe check with RI when is the latest date the result will be out?

I heard from RI General Office that it be out on 28 Dec.
Dr Kiasu, you may want to join the DSA Appeal 2011 where greentree is gathering some parents to meet MOE. I am trying to touchbase with him. Did RI call you?
How does the EESIS/ GEP grant thing work ?

On 3/1/12 must submit cheque or cash for school fees etc right ?
So pay full first then they will give reimbursement ?

                  Hi ngbrdad

Have you submit the EESIS form to the school today?

In the ACS(I) starter kit, there is a Yellow form that listed the break down of the school fee for O level for different group(Singaporean, Singapore PR, EESIS/SBSP, Foreigner and SB Scholar/Asean Scholar)

I guess you should be paying $290 for Jan & Feb School fee if your DS has EESIS grant.

                  Thanks. Missed that column initially.
Only saw the $690 part so not sure how they offset.
So I guess submit the giro form on 3/1 and it will only take effect in March right ?
Btw they collected our EESIS/GE grant form.
                  That's the norm right ?
Yes, submit the giro form on the firt day of school and the chq for the school fee+Yellow form.

Have to submit the EESIS/GE grant form. This is the norm.

                    KiasuMummy.:
Do anyone received confirmation on appeal with a Score of 260 in supplementary intake for RI.

RI mentioned there will be GAT tomorrow around 9 am. Still no confirmation yet ????
Visited RI today morning and was told that no GAT today 9 am. Since they received lot of applications for appeal, they couldn't process so fast. So they'll inform us when they are ready and if necessary, the children need to take GAT on another date. They'll inform us on or before 28th.

They go against what they specified in the information brochure. But they could've updated in website or send SMS or atleast answer our phone calls.

Hi, any one know how does NJC process the appeal cases? any interview required? Any idea how many appeal cases did NJC receive?

                      Thanks so much for sharing.
I'm also in your same situation. As they mentioned in their website (http://www.njc.edu.sg/index.php?option=news&task=article&id=176), no interview or no tests are required. They'll inform us on or b4 30th Dec.

Probably after Xmas holidays, can call and enquire.

                        Yes, very efficient.

Your DS in IP program? GEP?

                        O level, mainstream.
