Very sad cases. There is another Singaporean couple losing their only son there. The husband thought the wife was looking after the son and vice versa. Then the son was lost. The couple had purposely bought a child harness for the trip but the son complained that it was too uncomfortable and removed it. The couple stood at the HK Disneyland exit for hrs, still could not find their son. The wife went crazy.

Their friend recently went to HK but he left his younger son in Singapore and only brought the older daughter along. Easier to look after only one child and don’t want to take the risk.

My recent trip was with my twinies, my 2 nephews and 6 adults! All the kids are below 4. So got my patents to come along. So we have extra Eyes. What I learnt from the trip is. When travelling as a family with young children, take it easy on the schedule. After all, it’s a holiday! It’s suppose to be fun and relaxing. But commuting in the MTR is really challenging. Strollers usually gotta be carried as most of the station gantries are narrow. Some still using the "antique" rotating barrier.

Yup, heard of such cases from friends but not sure if they are all true. Can imagine the anguish of the parents. Tatz why I never let my son out of my sight when I brought him there by myself. Dun care what pple say, I dragged him to the ladies toilet even if he’s not that young. Dun take the risk and dun be so distracted by the sales going on… my son complained about the shopping but I never let him sit outside the shop by himself. Just drag along and bribe him with toys.

May I know where to get flu vaccine and how early should we take the vaccine before we travel?

                  Price?

Most GPs have it, just call to find out.
You should take the jab at least two weeks before you travel.
We took our jabs at Raffles Hospital, about $32 each..

I really doubt all those stories about losing kids in hk. I follow hk news and read apple daily almost daily and have never heard of such news. Given the efficiency of the hk media and it’s never-ending urge to dig out sensational news, don’t think they’ll give these stories a miss.
