hi my DD was reporting at RGS yesterday, she and a friend (both fm RGPS) are posted to RGS. They had time to spare and counted the no. of RGPS girls accepted into RGS for 2012 (there was a board with name and schools of girls accepted). Both of them counted a total of 89 girls from RGPS. Just for info. Cheers !

Great surprise to me is that why did they intentionally (purposely) left out the statistics for NUSH for Maths and Science - Why b'cos the top girl RGPS (GEP) for 2010 opt for NUSH instead of RGS ??? My DD (not the top girl) opt for NUSH instead of RGS.

Anyway the statistics - 5 from GEP and 2 mainstream ( 7 in total)

Be glad to know the 2011 figures b'cos the RGPS 2010 batch of 7 have done extremely well in NUSH Year1.

I may be wrong but I guess statistics for NUSH was excluded becos in 2010 they were not part of S1 option. Maybe the data for 2011 batch will be disclosed becos I believe for this yr, NUSH participated in the S1 option. Just a guess ...

Just a guess ...[/quote]FYI, NUSH has a DSA portion (90%) and NUSH Independent PSLE Posting (10% - COP for 2011 was 264) (not the same centralised S1 Posting ). This has been on for few years already.

What really surprise me is that the data is actually available to the school authority (esp after the top girl had chosen NUSH instead of RGS) and not made known to RGPS P6 students and parents alike in the slide.

7 students (5 GEP, 2 mainstream) were posted there in 2011. To me this is a serious lack of accuracy in information .. esp if they bother to announce the stats for SOTA which like NUSH is a specialised independent school not involved in centralised S1 Posting.

BTW, I am just a kaypoh ex-RGPS GEP parent who think NUSH is a good alternative beside the traditional RGS/NYGH route. Though the no is small (2010 only 2) ex-RGPS gals are always among the cream in NUSH both in maths n science.

Thanks for your kind advice on the HMT lesson and the school bus arrangement ๐Ÿ™‚

Seeing all the discussion here on PSLE scores, I need to start giving my girl some sense of \"reality\". Even though school term has not started, I can feel the \"kiasuism\" in me increasing everyday..... ๐Ÿ˜“

That means not all GEP and E/F go to RSG.

Of course not. Very few mainstreamers get DSA into RGS so applying to RGS via S1 posting would require a minimum of 260. It would be quite incredible if all the E and F girls scored >260. Remember also that these stats are for last year's P6 girls who didn't do as well as the year before them. A lot more girls from the 2009 batch got into RGS.

i heard one of the year (maybe 2009) 1/3 or 130 got into RGS.... not sure if this was true...

                      Hi there Mommies,

I am new here. My girl is going to RGPS next year, Primary 4R.
We have yet to buy the house tee as I am not sure what color she will be assigned to. I called school and they told me to just buy any color as it does not matter.

Can someone kindly verify that? :rahrah:

And, any mommies whose kid going to same class? Would be nice if we can keep in touch and keep track of the ongoings in school :hugs:
