Do you know the basis of the selection? Close to 261 or some via leadership n outstanding cca.

Get to know 2 successful apPeals are with t score of 261. Probably miss the actual RI cop by a few decimal numbers ..

          Parsingh:

Appeal rejected. Was told that PSLE score has no relevance or has little relevance during appeals. There are other considerations (unknown). DS can not understand the fact that school is accepting other appeals ignoring someone who has scored exactly equal to COP and given ACSI the first preference. Poor kid.
Was it an outright rejection or just unsuccessful at the moment ?

In theory as long as RI never declare that they are full ant not taking in any appeal cases, there is always a chance for anyone at any school.

Rumours has it that they took in total of 60 appeal cases in previous years.
With they they would have created 60 vacancies in various schools thru cascading effects.

          No you will never know.

Was told by ri that past year about 40 cases accepted for appeal. 60 is a lot!

Actually they told me that we will know results before Christmas. But officially on paper it is 28 dec so I guess it gives them time to draft send rejection letters or emails by 28 dec

Hi it looks like most cases of appeal is already made known. Anyone heard from ri appeal yet? My son appeal for ri and still waiting for results. Was told that appeal cases are overwhelming and they need time. But I suspect those successful are already informed. :xedfingers: :lightrod:

It's not true that most cases of appeal is already made known. I've not heard from a lot of appeals yet - those to Cedar, VS, HCI, DHS, NJ, RVH, CHS, SJI, St Nicks' etc. I supposed need the \"top of food chain\" to start the ball rolling, and the rest will then know the vacancies they have and start their \"recruitment\" as well.

I think they thought about having IB together with A levels some yrs back, but the plan did not go thru. Too much resources req.

I don't think that will happen because once the students know that, most will start mugging and eventually the numbers will be too small to even start a class, just like what happens to HCI.
