2011 PSLE - Appeal for Sec School
-
We appealed to MS last year for my DS1, who was 3 points short of their COP and placed MS as 1st choice.
Did not hear from MS at all, I think if they have vacancies, they’ll probably offer their affiliated primary school students first. -
I called Cedar Girl's just now and they told me all vacancies were filled up already. My DD appeal unsuccessful. She got 249. :heartbroken:

their standard is getting higher.. maybe you can try St Nick Girls? my friend's dd can't get in Cedar but managed to get into St Nick tho.. -
We appealed to MS for my DS1 2 years back with cop 1 point short. They offered only when school opens but we had already been offered by another school on the same day we submitted our appeal to.

Btw, we did not put MS as one of the choices in S1 posting;)

Hi R3mom
Thanks for sharing with me your experience.
My DS got 230 so I guess the chance of getting in is slim since it is 2 points away (based on 232 instead of 231)??
Hi Zekezachzoom
Thanks to you, too. So MS even accepts your son even though you did not choose MS as one of the 6 choices? That means your son must have gotten a good result and that’s why they are offering him a place? -
Got notification from my friend:(FYI: should be true)
TKGS has about 100 people appealing over 14 places. therefore she can't get a place even though she is a mark lower than COP of TKGS.
Same applies to CCHMS which she is applying.
:nosebleed: -
The principal of Victoria School mentioned during today’s orientation that they do not have any vacancy despite a long waiting list.
