      hi all,

just going thru the "first day at school" list,

      not too sure what’s

      - Art folio
      - KCPPS Single Linked Jotter book.

      do advise.

For me, I didn’t get the social studies books too.

there is no KCPPS jotter book. just get normal ones fr popular.

i am guessing the art folio could be the art bag with all the art supplies inside. the children usually leave their art bag in their classroom for the whole term.

A P3 parent I met at the bookshop told me the white board from the bookshop is double sided and with no extra border, unlike those sold in popular. Is it true? She says its easy to clean just use dishwashing liquid to wipe every week and all the marker stains will come off easily.

Yap. The whiteboard doesn't have border. From a far, it looks like A4 paper but it's thicker. It's durable & light. And it can be used on both sides. I like the whiteboard. We have used it at home. So far, no complain from my DS.

Tks botakgundul. Looks like i shall have to wait for new stock to arrive.

I would rather they can leave most things in school, then there is less issues with forgetting to bring to school. I guess just have to label all their items with names so it can be identified properly.

The same parent also told me the other day that the new uniforms were designed by the students! I don't know what to make out of that. Obviously, the skort to me was a disaster. And the tailor who made it is equally clueless on how to sew it as a practical piece. Haiz... (sorry for my ranting)

lol...not total disaster~~ at least considered an achievement that the students can design something. think the school wanted it long for modesty without taking into total consideration the final look of the child wearing it.

about labelling - im skeptical abt it... coz after labelling my kids' things, it can still go missing in childcare... so labels dun really work if the person who got it dun intend to return...

Anyone having the same issue as me - still short of some items for starting school? The bookshop says the Stellar Handwriting 1 is still out of stock. So is the whiteboard and A3 clear folder. And the social studies books.

Din like the idea of not having complete set when school starts. still need to check back with the bookshop. sigh.
I haven't gotten all the social studies book. I only have activity book.

I don't know that you haven't gotten the Stellar handwriting book. I can bring the book to office tommorow & scan for you. So you will know what kind of handwriting exercise that your DD needs to do at school. Just for your reference while waiting for the book to come.

Anybody knows what is the purpose of A4 one button file? I assume it is used to store the whiteboard, marker & duster. Am I right?
