Year 1 Mummies, don't worry too much about your girls being separated from their primary school friends. They'll make new friends soon enough, especially during Orientation Week. It may even be better for them to be separated from their primary school friends so they'll be forced to socialize.

I agree with this. It's worse for my daughter - she was in Pr school only for the 3 mths before PSLE, and she doesn't even know anyone from that school who is in RGS, let alone in the same class. And we are going to be away until Yr 2, so she will be the only new girl when she finally arrives. She's changed school a couple of times, so I can assure other anxious parents that the girls will very soon make friends - don't worry!

You're posted overseas again? So you're only in Singapore for 6 months? Your dd must be very adaptable which is good. And very capable to do so well in her PSLE despite only being back home for 3 months.

We left Singapore immediately after the PSLE and have been doing everything by proxy or online. I'm waiting to get in touch with the form teacher to see what sort of support and info we can get while away so my daughter won't have too much to catch up when she gets back. She's looking forward to being in RGS. And yes, she's proved quite adaptable so far.

I hope you get the info and support you need. I don't think it'll be a problem for your dd when she comes back. Meanwhile, you can get your dose of all things Singaporean here at KSP.
