Hoylji, your dd is so talented. How can we help support the school team? Do many others and teachers turn up during competitions?

            Dear All,

Thank you for your wonderful and kind sharing to us blur newbies. We have withdrawn from Marymount Convent as DD has been offered a place at another school. I wish you and your DDs all the best in their transition into P1 and their exciting journey of learning.

By the way, I was at the bookshop yesterday and the Aunty told me the bible and the textbook covers are in stock.

Here's wishing you and your family a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
            Hi phoenix,

All the best to you and your DD. :rahrah:

              hoylj:
So which secondary schools did our top MCS gals get posted to? Just curious.

              Hi hoylj,

              2011 MCS gals posted to:
              RGS - 5
              NYGH - 4
              NJC - 2
              Cedar IP - 2

This year's sec sch posting trend is quite different from 2010; where 12 MCS gals were posted to RGS. πŸ˜‚

                  hi all mummies!

im new to this group n my dd is starting her p1 nxt year too. she's in Responsibility.
i've yet to buy her a school bag. Am wondering if the one from Pacific Bookstore is good. any feedback please?
                  appreciate any other advices too...
                  :welcome: chubby mum.

Haven't used the sch bag from Pacific Bookstore. Like hoylj, both DDs are die-hard fans of SPI bags... SPI bags are durable and lasted DDs for 2 yrs. πŸ˜‚

Start of the new school year. So exciting!

Ya, thinking of forming a parent support group for our gym girls as I am aware that many of them are training hard for the Inter-School Rhythmic Gymnastic Championship which starts in March-April period. Last year's competition, I recalled seeing the Ms Cecilia Lim (the P) joined in most sessions. So proud to see her cheering for our dds when I know well that her ex-school was also competing for the same title.

So, will be good if we have parents whose dd are in Rhy Gym CCA and other parents who are keen to know more of this CCA to join us. For a start, it will be good to have a list of such parents and the capacity they can join like frequency, contribution, etc. I think it's more of getting to know each other and be able to support our dd in their strive in this CCA. Then, the ramp-up will be during the competition where I suppose the banners and other props will need to be provided for by this group. Not to mention, I am keen to have all our parents together with our dds here to don our very own MCS Rhy Gym t-shirts (need to custom-print) during the competition period to support and cheer for them. There are also trial periods where our dd will be invited to join the National Rhythmic Gym Club. We should also give them our support.

So, I am enlisting a group of like-minded parents and we can start this group informally. If there is already one, I will definitely join this group and not steer off to something myself. Suggestions are welcome!

Yes indeed! My dd woke up at 545 am as she is going for her morning class this year. She looked so great and bright in her new 2-pc school uniform. So proud of her.

All the best to all our new P1 dd and parents alike. Relax, yr dd are in good hands, ok! Enjoy the school term!
