Erm, what exactly are we supposed to bring?[/quote]DD's just bringing stationary and the forms that need to be submitted.
Yes sir! Hahabananamonster:

There are many from 112 too. Go banana! Must give them warm welcome.
ORIENTATION IS TOMORROW Make sure everyone gets to school and goes to the hall by 7.10 am. There should be student leaders positioned in the foyer to direct you, and the class I/Cs will be standing in the hall amongst all the confused Year Ones holding up placards. Just go to them, don't attempt to pass yourself off as being from 101 when you're from 102, I can assure you it won't work haha. WELCOME TO RGS!! Yay so excited, I hope you and your DDs are excited too!

Okay here are the rules on hair-accessories as far as I know:
- Only dark blue (pinafore dark) and black hair accessories are allowed.
- No overly large/conspicuous things that protrude too far/hang down like sticking a stuffed toy on your head or something
- Accessories should help to maintain the professional image of the uniform and should not attract too much attention.
Generally all scrunchies/hairbands should be accepted, as well as those thin rubber hairties and neat ribbons (ribbons should not hang all the way down to the legs or something). Hair cannot touch the collar unless it is tied up. Loose locks (like those \"feelers\" that come down in front over the ears like in anime) are not allowed.
Just look neat haha, obviously you wont get booked for one strand coming out. Oh, and fringes should not touch the eyebrows or cover the eyes.

Seems like we have quite a few mums whose girls are in 101.

Will inform DD not to have loose strands or \"feelers\".
Just another question...DD has a pair of slightly off-white Nike shoes which she would like to wear to sch to check if it's acceptable tomorrow. Will she get book if the shoes don't comply? DD's worried about being booked on the 1st day of sch...keke -

Considering that my parents/I didn't get the books or anything till after school started, it's fine luh. First week is orientation, second week you meet your teachers and get introduced to the class, so there's a lot of time to get the textbooks in school, no need to bother heading to Popular if it's not too convenient (the nearest Popular is like, half an hour from my home).
Studying?  U Must Be Kidding!
It's Just tt the BookList Only Show Physics and Chemistry, No Biology Text.
And ....
I Have Not Even Buy a Single Exercise Book, Let Alone .... TextBook!
I Must Be the Moooooooooooooooooost OFF Mummy in RGS! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: -
Hey everyone, here's a (belated) happy new year

Anyway I think RGS people rank high among chatterboxes or something, the thread's moved so fast. Is anybody ('s dd) posted to 113? Maybe I can be an angel/god-angel or something
Oh and first day of school do go to school slightly earlier as there may be a horrific jam caused by the parents from SJI, SCGS and RGS sending their kids in for the first day of school. Also for the first few days if your dd is just on time, like reach at 716-720ish don't bother to go back to class, just go for assembly as it's not a must to go to class first - I didn't know that and I almost got booked heading for assembly from class late.
And orientation will be super fun and it's the time when you make tons of friends and bond without having to bother about academic stuff. Enjoy!

The drop-off at RGS itself will be rather smooth because only the Year 1s have school tomorrow, aside from the student leaders and helpers at CCAO.Hey everyone, here's a (belated) happy new year

Haha I'm now slowly reading the through the pages. Based on memory of the thread I don't think anybody's replied yet so uh -TheHamsterLover:
What time does school end for year ones 2012 not including third Lang, cca, etc? Thanks!

There's a separate timetable on the timings of each block on iNet.
Monday: Start 725 End 1340
Tuesday: Start 725 End 1350
Wednesday: Start 725 End 1430
Thursday: Start 725 CES 830 End 1355
Friday: Start 725 End 1300
The CES on Thursday is basically a special slot where a teacher's time is blocked and you're free so you can meet your teachers regarding class work or for remedial. Do take the initiative to meet your teachers during this block if you have any problems with school work, have missed lessons due to competition or illness, etc. If you don't have CES on that Thursday, you can reach school at 830 for Assembly.
