Hi Fluffyjazz, oso not sure abt the class assignment though

                    Said so.

Any senior YN parents here to clear the confusion or doubt
Whether the little test during orientation, d results will b
                    used to assign class? Thx.
My little girl in Primary 2 this year. During last year prize award ceremony, we were briefed there will be no streaming in pri 1 and pri 2. (however, my personal opinion is that the little test during orientation helps to equalise the standards between the primary 1 classes) There will not be any exams in primary 1, the results would be based on small assessments and tests throughout the year. Starting from this year 2012, the first 3 months assessments and tests would not be used to judge the child annual performance as the children take time to stabilise and orientate. The daily work and assessements would be judged from 3rd month onwards. Streaming will only be done based on exams result in primary 3. The highest aggregate students would be divided equally within the first 2 classes.

I can still remember I was one of the many very nervous and excited parents last year. My eyes were red to see my little girl wear her school uniform and carry her school bag to school on her first day in primary school. It is a good feeling I will never forget. I will get to remember the feelings again when I send my daughter to school in the afternoon.

To all parents with your children in primary 1 today, have a most memorable day today. So, take more photos and enjoy yourselves. I did one year back, and you would. No doubt about it.

Thanks for d experience sharing. Yes, could sense what you meant during the first day of school, really helping a lot. P, VP and level head Trs also briefed d parents the expectations during P1and throughout P1-P6....start to sweat order.... :?:
