      Monitor Your Kids Performance ....
And Manage your Expectations Along the Way πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Am Sure ALL of U Great Mum and Dad can Pull thru -
Without Stressing Jr Too Much πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚
Yes, you are so right...it's impt to build up stamina before the REAL battle.
9 months is very short but burnt out too early means gone case...
I'm drawing up a time-table with more play time...and throwing in carrots like Mcdonald frappe, ice cream, swimming. Need to work on reward system to motivate son.

DD will be taking PSLE this yr.

After reading all the posts here, I am getting worried. Are we too slack?

        Need some advice.
DD is in a SAP school and in the top class. So far no tuition and she is scoring low 80s for EL, close to 90s for CL, Sci and 90+ for Maths.
All her classmates attend tuition and I am thinking of enrolling her for tuition.
Without tuition, I am afraid she might not be able to do as well as her peers.
Should I enrol her and let her study on her own???? :scratchhead: :scratchhead:

          Hi Fat Mama,

Based on my dd PSLE experience, All schools, especially P6 top class, principals and top class teachers are worrier than you.

Do you believe that my dd school principal likes to pass Friday homework for all P6 students?

The top class students are suffered more than other classes. Expectation is higher than others and DIY more.

They will give all kinds of exam papers, homework, remedial class (including during March, June, September holidays - no such things holidays for P6 students).
Do you think, your child has time? :nailbite:

Since your child marks are 90+ in 3 subjects and 80 in English in P5, :yikes:
Please add 5 more marks in her P5 SA2 and P6 SA1. Then, you should ask yourself, \"do my child need a tuition\". The best thing, please ask her.

You may consider her English 1 to 1 home tuition if you are so worried.

All the best in her 2012 PSLE!

            Hi blotchdudu,

Precisely, I don’t think she will have the time for tuition. I don’t know how the other kids manage school, supp, homework and tuition.

I did ask her if she wants tuition but she told me to decide.
Seriously, I don’t think she needs tuition but all the top pupils in her class have tuition!!!

Still considering, if decided to have tuition, hope not too late, can still get good tutors.

Why Rock the Boat, When it's Sailing Perfectly on Auto-Pilot?
Diff Kids do Well on Diff Routes, Some Depends on Tuition, Some Lucky Ones Don't. (Like Your dd πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ )

She Survives P5 on Her Own w/o tuition, yet still Holds her Fort within a Bright Class. I Believe Your Gal is Managing Well now.
Why Not Monitor her progress now (Not comparing Marks, But Vs her lev positions, coz paper can be easy / difficult), to see if she needs tuition.

My Gal goes thru PSLE last year w/o tuition (and Amidst Heavy CCA Schedules, both in sch and Ext).
And When I Ask her if she wants to attend tuition like the rest of her class mates. It's a Resounding \"NO\"!
She Treasures her Free Time far more. And she's more motivated to allocate her time efficiently to complete her HW, etc to that end.
She Confessed to me tt even 5 min of free time in bet lessons is precious to her, tt she could use to do her math HW

              JMHO πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Agree with u, why rock the boat when it is sailing well, maybe can be better? Just kidding.

We will make a decision after CA1 results.
