      hi…

hope all the P1 DS and DD will have a good day in school today!!!

just sent DS to school, followed school bus, and bus auntie informed that wed will no longer start late but start at the same time as the rest of the wk. she mentioned that the school just informed her. anyone else also heard abt this?

also asked a staff and was told school will end at 6.30pm, no flag lowering for these few days. so if have flag lowering, then school bus will probably leave around 6.45-7pm?

bit chaos when we reached NCPS but there were many PVs to help guide the pupils along. my only concern is the school bag, DS rather small size and i am regretting buying the trolley bag for him. should have gotten the POP Kids. DS wanted to be able to pull his bag along, so gave in… but now think very bulky and heavy.

just to ask, what type of bags did you buy for your kids? if too heavy/bulky, i might get another type… thanks in advance!!!

I never believe in trolley bag, as u said, bulky and heavy. Pulling it also seems a bit twisted for the arm, long term, may not be good. Carry it will be too heavy, esp. messy when it rains. Most kids will want that, I know, but I think hard and insisted on a normal bag for my son, light and convenient, can carry and run too if required. Trolley bag will be too heavy for that. It can also injured the arm or cause someone to trip if not handled well. Well still individual preference. Cheers!

i saw a mummy print out the pdf format of the school time but i couldn't find it anywhere.Does the mummy has any idea what time does the school ends today? Dunno whether the school will give out the timetable.

i never got the trolley bag for my girl cos i find it a bit hard to drag and somemore can trip other children. This afternoon, while bringing my girl to school , i was almost tripped over by a little boy pulling a trolley bag. Obviously he has problem in handling the trolley bag and i was almost tripped over by his bag 2 times. I think a lot of parents bought the SPI active bags cos when i reached the little i see a lot of SPI active bags - pink, red and blue.hhhahh

school should end at 6.30, according to staff.

find the trolley bag’s back rather hard, due to the hardware. see how, let DS use for few Wks then if really find it a struggle then change.

hope school will give some timetable today. i feel rather overwhelmed, 1st child in Pri n will probably more relax when 2nd turn in P1.

will b off to school later to follow him home via school bus. today see him walk off to hall really feel he grown up n confident. hope he really has a GD day today.

                  Hi parents :

My DS is in Primary 1 this year, and after today’s class, I noticed that his Mathematics 1A (both text book and Activity) are kept my school.

Does any DS’s and DH’s class having the same arrangement?

                  Kindly advise, thanks

Pupil handbook is a comm book. Students will be asked to record things to do or bring inside. Parents can use that to communicate matters to teacher too (but must tell your kid to inform teacher you have something for her/him). But it depends on the teacher, some just say or write on the whiteboard without telling students to write it down.

Think not given yet, my son in P2 also not given yet. But they were issued timetable today.

This is normal and usual practice. Most schools did that too. This is good as it reduces the number of books need to carry to school daily and hence weight of bag. Anyway, it makes sense since they need it daily. What you need to do is that when the books are returned (usually when tests are near), you will likely be told to sign on it too, check through and make sure you know his/her weakness and to understand the progress (what have they learnt so far etc).
