Abt wed, must reach by 12.30. asked a teacher n was told pupils will be given something to do.


DS timetable showed blank for 1-1.30, then assembly from 1.30-2, followed by lessons. dun know what the children will be doing from 12.30-1.30.

hi, my DS teacher collected the english n maths books. only left both chinese n the weekly maths books.


DS was given school letter (Abt start n end time), timetable, insurance pamphlet n something for us to fill in Abt himself. he has PE on tue n wed, so will b wearing PE attire on both days.

his timetable states Tomolo has CS, but no indication what is that. i assume is the chime poems book. am i right? else will call office n ask.

CS is Chorus Singing. There is no book or anything for this so nothing to bring. It's some kind of group singing. The PE on Wed is mass PE, which is different from class PE. Personally I prefer more PE days as wearing PE attire is more comfortable for my son. Btw my son in P2 and I am glad he has 3 days of PE, incl the mass PE.

For Wed, lessons start at 1.30pm as teachers have meeting before that. So I am not sure why this yr so special. Last yr, students need only be in school by 1.15pm on Wed, 12.45pm on other days for silent reading.

My DS is in Primary 1 this year, and after today's class, I noticed that his Mathematics 1A (both text book and Activity) are kept my school.

Does any DS's and DH's class having the same arrangement?

This is normal and usual practice. Most schools did that too. This is good as it reduces the number of books need to carry to school daily and hence weight of bag. Anyway, it makes sense since they need it daily. What you need to do is that when the books are returned (usually when tests are near), you will likely be told to sign on it too, check through and make sure you know his/her weakness and to understand the progress (what have they learnt so far etc).

But, When the school keeps his Math textbook, how are we going to revise? Do parents buy another set of textbooks for revision?

So can someone please confirm if school starts at 1.30pm or 12.30pm? I am really very confused now. So must reach school at 1pm tomorrow (wed)? There is class PE tomorrow? Cos my girl did not have a timetable and I dun know why she does not have the timetable so I do not know what she has for tomorrow? Anyone knows the number I can call the school to check?

My girl also did not hv timetable, only school letter. School letter indicated mon to fri 1.00pm to 6.30pm. Must reach school at 12.30pm. I think there is a change in assembly time on wed.

All textbks brought today were kept in school. No bk was brought hm today.

just sent DS to school, followed school bus, and bus auntie informed that wed will no longer start late but start at the same time as the rest of the wk. she mentioned that the school just informed her. anyone else also heard abt this?

also asked a staff and was told school will end at 6.30pm, no flag lowering for these few days. so if have flag lowering, then school bus will probably leave around 6.45-7pm?

bit chaos when we reached NCPS but there were many PVs to help guide the pupils along. my only concern is the school bag, DS rather small size and i am regretting buying the trolley bag for him. should have gotten the POP Kids. DS wanted to be able to pull his bag along, so gave in.... but now think very bulky and heavy.

just to ask, what type of bags did you buy for your kids? if too heavy/bulky, i might get another type... thanks in advance!!!

I bought ergonomic school bag for my girl. Initially tot of buying trolley bag but hv dropped the tot after reading the past posting in this thread.

For flag lowering, how are we going to know when will it resumes? Can anyone kindly advise? If the school bus leaves around 7pm, then it means that my girl will probably reaches hm around 7.15pm.

I got the book when I paid for it.but the teacher keeps the book yesterday when my girl brings to school.
