Hi parents :

My DS is in Primary 1 this year, and after today's class, I noticed that his Mathematics 1A (both text book and Activity) are kept my school.

Does any DS's and DH's class having the same arrangement?

      Kindly advise, thanks

This is normal and usual practice. Most schools did that too. This is good as it reduces the number of books need to carry to school daily and hence weight of bag. Anyway, it makes sense since they need it daily. What you need to do is that when the books are returned (usually when tests are near), you will likely be told to sign on it too, check through and make sure you know his/her weakness and to understand the progress (what have they learnt so far etc).

      Thanks TimTim
But, When the school keeps his Math textbook, how are we going to revise? Do parents buy another set of textbooks for revision?

Pardon my igorance...Just curious to find out, thanks
Usually textbooks are not kept in school. Maybe you want to check with the teacher.

So can someone please confirm if school starts at 1.30pm or 12.30pm? I am really very confused now. So must reach school at 1pm tomorrow (wed)? There is class PE tomorrow? Cos my girl did not have a timetable and I dun know why she does not have the timetable so I do not know what she has for tomorrow? Anyone knows the number I can call the school to check?

My girl also did not hv timetable, only school letter. School letter indicated mon to fri 1.00pm to 6.30pm. Must reach school at 12.30pm. I think there is a change in assembly time on wed.

All textbks brought today were kept in school. No bk was brought hm today.

From my son's P2 timetable (should be same for P1):

        Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri: 1.00pm - 6.30pm (reach school latest 12.45pm)
        Wed: 1.30pm - 6.30pm (Assembly at 1.30pm, reach school 1.15pm latest)

This is same as last year and from what we did last yr. So far I did not hear any changes to this format. Unless there is special instructions for P1.

Ok, I just called the school. For afternoon session, we follow the school hours stated on the letter from Principal dated 3 Jan 2012. So for Wed, assembly time 1245pm, curriculum hours 1-630pm (ie same as Mon-Tue, Thu-Fri).

i also just call the school at 8am and they inform me that Mon to fri reach school before 1pm for afternoon session. Try to reach school around 12.45pm for silent reading. I asked if wed timing any different from other day like mon, tues, thurs or fri, they told me mon-fri all the same timing. Reach school before 1pm and i told the admin i was informed by a few timing, 12.30pm and 1.15pm to reach school for wed. They told me no, all the same timing before 1pm for all the 5 days

                      Dear parents

My DS is in P1. I need your advice on this issue.
I have received the time table and I notice there are English lessons everyday, and some days have up to four sessions of English.

As there are 5 English books , Is there a way to know which book is used on which day? The purpose for me to know is to pack the time table accordingly. it is very heavy if I put all the 5 English text books in his bag.

It will greatly reduce the weight if I only pack whatever is required for the day

Kindly advise, thank you very much for your kind attention and assistance.

How can the curriculum for Wed be 1pm when the timetable stated 1.30pm (started with Assembly)? So confusing this year.
