Verysuperkiasu:
What about the Mummy?
hah! miss him? Not at all! In fact, when he was at church camp in dec. When I told her that her kor kor was coming back that day, she lamented 'there goes my peace!'. Both of them are always arguing non-stop! I have to literally separate them to stop their bickering.MummySTay:
Does your DD miss your DS now that he's away at camp?
Does she miss the squabbles and his presence?
-
MummySTay:
I do his presence, but definitely NOT their squabbles! haha!

My turn to miss DD on Friday when she has her overnight camp. -
MummySTay:
Can the girls call back during their free time. I told my ds to call back but he said their handphones will be kept away until the camp is over

Usually, students are not allowed to call home when they are away at school camps. Hearing the parents' voices would make the kids miss home. However, the teachers fail to realize that the parents would miss the kids if they do not hear their kids' voices!

Verysuperkiasu:
Yup, handphones will be kept with teachers during p5 camp. Should just not bring, lah.
Very true. When my ds stayed over at his cousin's place for a few days during Dec holidays, I called him everyday just to hear his voice. But he was too busy playing, hmm hah...hmmm hah...then bye!

Life after PSLE β¦ in a twinkling of the eyes, the sec/JC school days will be overβ¦and some will head to NS / overseas uni β¦ effectively the empty nest will happen soon after O / A level β¦ and if they grad overseas and work overseas, that is it β¦
so, be mentally prepared
during December, my two kids have separate mission trips, school trips, church camp β¦and hardly all at home at the same time β¦ a foretaste of the day when they all leave the nest leaving the two lonely old folksβ¦better get some hobby now -
You're allowed to give a quick call at night before you sleep:) Or just a few texts. But i think we ended up exchanging phone numbers(which is good) instead of calling our parents.
