Your NRIC should reflect the addres where you will be staying.

Hi I went through the same predicament last year. You're right that the last I checked, the other schools in Marine Parade area will all be filled by 2C. Very few if any left in 2CS. I was v clear that I would not try at TNS 2C if I fail at 2B. The other schools in Marine Parade are very good too and I didn't want to miss a place in those schools. Like you, I lived within 1 km from TNS and my DS is now in Ngee Ann (also within 1 km). Good thing I have 3 schools within 1 km - TNS, Ngee Ann and St Stephen. Ngee Ann and St Stephen no need balloting for 1 km at 2C.

Not sure if Maris Stella need balloting within 1km at 2C but you need to move and stay at your parents' home if you want to legally use the address.

Those who are unsuccessful at phase 2B, can try again at phase 2C. I would try for phase 2C if I have a good backup school that would have vacancies in phase 3.

Hi there again Musings! Yeah...so u have the first-hand experience! How's Ngee Ann like? I visited the sch once (for work-related issue) and remembered the students were very noisy when teacher not in class. I went in and tried to calm them down but they were not easy to handle. There was this particular p3 boy that even answered back at me! :stompfeet: If i recall correctly, it was 3joy or something like that. That was in 2009 .. but I also got good reviews abt Ngee Ann fr a friend's DD who was in P3 then too.

Actually, my DH is old boy of st stephen's. But I feel wasted if I do not try for TNS since Im staying so near. But then again, if I apply for TNS, then I will have to give up St stephen's phase 2A. Sigh...it's tough to decide. And unofrtunately, I am not under 1km for st stephens/ngee ann pri. So tougher for me.

Maris Stella under 1km so far no need to ballot for phase 2C. Shld be quite safe. But then, its an entirely different location alrdy. And yes, if I do choose this route, I will have to change the add on my NRIC and work things out to stay nearby alrdy.

According to him, Tao Nan is relatively more stressful. Both schools have good teachers.
