I am severly IT challenged :(.

I copied the below from the link I provided but the pics of the books are not showing up; anyway, the 2 books relevant for Situational Writing are called P6 - Writing & P6 PSLE Preparation. The below text describes the contents of these books.




P6 Writing
A comprehensive text to help you with all your writing requirements for PSLE. This is not an assessment book although exercises are provided. It gives comprehensive instruction and ideas to pupils who want to write better essays. The book covers both continuous and situational writing and takes pupils from writing at the word, sentence, and paragraph level to planning at the text level. Rubrics for self-evaluation are given and a section on text types can also be found in the situational writing section.


P6 PSLE Preparation
Doing some last minute revision? This PSLE Preparation book gives students concise and effective tips to help them through the final revision period. Topics in the book cover comprehension, writing,oral communication, listening and a section on exercising your mind. Trial examination papers are included.

I actually bought most of the series for my own education [but not grammar and vocab] and found them useful reads for the parents.

I didnt buy PSLE past year paper (2007-2011) bcos my friend told me school will help kids get them. Did you get it from popular ? Bcos I want to have the answer key. Dont mind getting it if they are avail at popular bcos school won't give answer key. Thanks.

Hi I am new here. I found all the tips very useful, especially from psle2011mum. Thank you so much for all your efforts and the sharing. For English comprehension (OE), anyone has recommendations on a good book for practice for P6 PSLE? My DD is taking PSLE this year. Thanks!

Teachers are NOT teaching students how to answer questions for comprehension OE or cloze for eg...most schools just throw the worksheets to the kids. The exam papers of some schools are so 'impressive' with difficult compre passages beyond P6 standard. But are the kids taught how to handle ? No, the exam papers is to show other parents that the school standard is high. PERIOD.

That is why it takes a village to educate a child :-).

My parents are also busy helping me especially this year...we will go over for meals and then back home to get revision done/tuition. It's really like a whole village getting my son thru psle :faint:[/quote]WOW!!!Your're very blessed :rahrah:

I wish my son's school is this efficient :stompfeet: son seems to be very tired after school (only the first week)...even after a hot shower and lunch. If need be, I really need to consider taking him out of suppl.
