yeah, guess they gave her face to step down graciously rather than to be booted out. Hopefully the new CEO will do a better job, though he/she may have alot of ‘mess’ to clear up and SMRT’s reputation to rebuild.

It reflects very badly on whoever had made the decision to hire a CEO with totally no engineering background. Who the he** is in charge of our public transport now? LTA push, push, push. Said MRT is privatized. Taxi companies also privatized. So now it is no longer accurate to say such is \"public transport\" anymore. They are \"private transport\"! @##%^%&#* :rant: I hope whoever is in charge (izzit the garment?) will make a better decision this time to hire the next CEO with proper credentials.


I sure hope they won't need to appoint a COMMITTEE to do even this! :faint:

Someone on this thread mentioned about the idea of getting an army officer to do it - sorry, this thread is bit too long and I don't really want to go back to find which page it is - but credit to you anyhow.

Although I am against getting army officers to head this and head that in the 'civilian environment', I tend to think this might not be a bad idea in the case of the transport.

anyone caught the parliment report on CH5? It seems that Mr Lui Tuck Yew is hinting possible sabotage as the cause of disruptions.
