We stay at the nearest blocks to CPS. 🙂 But seldom at home during day time, also not much on weekends or at night. My girl's childcare is not around JW area.

The first two days in CPS, felt like so many very close/low passes which made very very loud and sharp noise (at least 8 to 10 times a day, i guess). It's annoying. :slapshead:

Hope something will be done to improve this situation.

                  Hi! Parents of CPS! :grphug:

For those using the school bus service - do you see any improvement? Timing and also the seat allocations? Can share what school bus No. is your child taking?

My 2 DDs are taking CPS 10, PC457. They are requested to be at the bus bay by 7am. This morning i went with them and the bus came at 7.15am. Bus already half packed and by the time my 2 DDs boarded, they took up the last 2 seats. According to DD1, our is not the last pick up point and so those students who boarded later will have to squeeze with those who already taken up the seats, meaning 3 students to 2 seats and NO seat belts!

                    Hi Parents,

New member here. I want to share my experience with you especially the 1st day of School.

                    Bus Transport:
I had called them a few times during last week of Dec 2011, asking them the pickup point and time.
They always replied they had not confirm the list and asked me to call back 31st Dec 9(sat).
End up received bus driver call on 1st Jan to confirm the pickup location.
As usual it was late, but I think it is normal especially for the 1st week.
Hope they can improve on this to give us advance notice on the pickup location.

                    Bookshop:
You know how long I queue up during the 1st day? 3 HOURS !!!
From 10am to 1pm! I only need to buy Chinese Vocabulary Builder, handbook and Portfolio and from the school.
I had tried getting them during twice during Dec, but no stock. Call the bookshop and suggest me to come back during school open.
That day the queue hardly move, no chair for us to seat. It is really inefficiency.
End up buying only the Vocabulary Builder, the rest no stock!
Heard from other parent that they came early to Q but teacher told them to come back at 9am.
During 1pm after school, a group of pupils did not Q, start to ask auntie for the books, but bookshop auntie told them they had to Q up
however they did not go away. I called the office telling the situation, no one came to help.
End up one parent tell the children nicely we had queuing for 2 hours and if they want to buy they have to Q.
Luckily some pupils understand it and left. Some pupils still persistant standing infront of the counter telling Auntie teacher will scold them.
Looking at their faces can see their stress… Me I also stress plus leg pain…
Afternoon I called the school feedback the situation, and they replied me they will have more helpers tomorrow.

2nd day came back to school again, as my girl short of 1 exercise book, 1 clear file.
At 10am, saw the same long Q as 1st day. Make me piss off as I don’t see any extra helper. I don’t want to wait for another 3 hours, I asked parent to reserve my place then walk to office to complain.
Happen the see the principle walk pass. I tell her nicely the situation, she understand that and saying publisher dunno what 80% of the books. I tell her not all parents need the textbooks. We need those stationery like handbook, excercise book.
I tell her things will not improve unless the bookshop boss come in and help and setup another counter.
She agreed and walked inside the office and make a call.
I continue queuing up, and sometime later temporary counter is setting up selling only handbook and portfolio. Some parents join to this Q, I can see the main Q is shorten, at least things are improving. However I am still in the Q as the temp counter did not sell any clear file or excercise book. Only after I had finished my stuffs, saw the "boss" taking excercise book, clear file out.

I had chatted with some parents & senior citizen, and I really pity those Ah Ma.
They had came to school 5 times still cannot get the things they want.
Working mother unable to come no choice Ah ma have to Q… no chair for them to sit while queueing!

I really hope the school management need to improve in controlling and watch the situation tightly and
provide necessary solutions to ease the situation.
Hope next year, history will not repeat again.

It happens sometimes very late too, like around 9-10pm. Don't you notice it?
